Boondock with options.
I was trying out by new boondock camper and chose NL. Showing up on Thursday, I was only 1 of 2 campers on roughly 60 acres.the staff was friendly without being annoying, facilities were close and clean. Lots of room to walk and just be… highly recommend, I will be back as this is a world away only 90 minutes from home.
Went rent camping for a night here and it was an awesome experience. The team took really good care of me and checked up on me. Buying wood was a solid move because they provide more than enough.
Beautiful! quiet! peaceful!
I can’t even describe how beautiful this place is! The hosts were extremely friendly and accommodating. The bathrooms and showers were very clean and the water was hot. This place is a must see and we will certainly be back if we are ever in the area!
Incredibly peaceful hipcamp
We loved our stay at Newell Lodge! We camped here on a Friday night in late October as we road-tripped from Savannah, GA to New Orleans, LA. The weather was perfect and we couldn't believe how quiet it was outside at night—absolutely still. (*Note: We were the only guests there that night. Arrived around 6pm and departed around 8am the next morning to continue driving.)
We posted up in our truck camper amongst the spanish moss close to the restroom building (Flush toilets, showers, hot water)
I would highly recommend Newell Lodge as a great place to relax and rest on a roadtrip or post up for a long weekend.

Peaceful birthday getaway
It was very peaceful and romantic. I enjoyed waking up to see the horses each morning. And being close to the beach was ezcellent. We spent our days on the beach, and came away from it all to our peaceful campsite. Everyone was helpful and attentive, but gave us the apace we needed. Thank you!
I absolutely loved staying here! From the moment I arrived the host, John, was so accommodating. He helped me find the perfect place to set up camp and made sure I had everything I needed to make my stay enjoyable. The restrooms (and showers!) were close by and well maintained. There was plenty of room for me to hang my hammock and build a nice fire at night. There were horses, goats, and chickens around the property (all behind fences) that you could visit and the bistro served an excellent meal both nights I dined there. I will definitely be back for another stay! Oh, make sure you pack lots of bug spray.
My husband and I pulled up to find Kay's grandson John waiting for us at the gate to show us where to park for the night. As we drove through the beautiful property of Live Oaks, cabins we ended up near the horses in a beautiful spot. We settled under the live oaks near the hanging lanterns. Set up our EZ up and car camped for the night. John made sure we had everything we needed, he was so nice and very accomodating to whatever we needed. This place is a true gem we will be back especially to try out the restaurant. Thank you for sharing your property with is...this is a 100+ star property/experience.
It was amazing. An escape from reality. I slept in my hammock and my friend and her kids slept in a tent. Falling asleep to the sounds of crickets and frogs and waking up to birds chirping. We slept under a canapy of trees that were spaced far enough apart you could catch the glimmer of the stars. The people were super helpful. The food from the restaurant was on point. Well seasoned and flavorful. 100% would recomend this place and will for sure be going back
