We Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
We Met up with some lifelong friends. The kiddos truly enjoyed it as well as the adults. It’s so nice to have the springs write down the same road!
Roy was awesome getting back to me on all my silly questions!
We may end up meeting friends back at this spot!
My only issue was the mosquito truck that literally drove by us spraying, at 8pm, when the kids were playing right there!
Host Dude welcomed us on our arrival. Nice clean campground with full hookups. It was fun seeing farm animals living on the neighboring farms. Also a convenient location at just about half hour away from Tallahassee.
For the price it was ok. Nice wooded lot with a few camp sites all in a line at the back of the lot. not a lot of room between sites. It was located close to the river, we went kayaking and fishing which was very nice. The camp site was just ok, nothing spectacular. The biggest negative was the dogs on the lot behind the camp sites were a nuisance, they barked A LOT. If they heard any sound they would bark, during the night they barked for hours. We were only there for 2 nights. Owner seemed very nice, I hate his neighbor has placed the dogs so close to his campsites
Peaceful, beautiful and convenient
Roy's place is just what we were looking for, private and secluded with plenty to do yet close enough to a town if we wanted or needed anything. The campground is not your concrete jungle campground but offers all the hookups and is just what you need to get away. Roy went out of his way to be hospitable, we ended up last minute deciding to come 2 days early and stayed an extra day and Roy was more than accommodating. We will definitely be back.
Great spot right next to the spring
Great site, wacissa springs is close to alot of hidden gems in this area like St Marks River, and wildlife refuges.
Roy was very welcoming and nice. It's a very cool place to basecamp for all your adventures.
Perfect old florida relaxation
Perfect, relaxing spot in old Florida! Aucilla Springs was close enough to walk (.2 miles). Great family area! Dude and his family were perfect hosts! We will be back!
The site is on a ranch, so there are horses, cows and chickens in the area. It is a short walk to Aucilla Spring, where you can swim, kayak or boat (using your own or a rental.) The host is very friendly, and is working hard to improve the camping area. There is an above-ground fire on the site, with plenty of kindling nearby. There is also a kennel of hunting dogs nearby, that bark at night. My advice is to close the windows and turn up the volume on the air conditioner at night, or wear ear plugs.
