Our stay was absolutely unmarkable the yurt was beautiful with a private setting between campsites. More was provided to us then imagineable with pots and pans, extra blankets, everything to wash dishes and our own little outdoor shower with towels and wash clothes and so much more even a grill along with our campfire. It was like a hotel for campsites. Our host Jane was the sweetest most helpful lady. On site was beautiful artwork painted all around the campsites. I would go back a few times a year just to enjoy these campsites. Recommend to any family for a trip away from home or friends can't wait to stay again!! Thank you for such an onderful memories to our host Jane and keep up the excellent work!!

As I write this I’m staring out the window of a high end hotel overlooking Savannah Harbor, enjoying a nice glass of red wine - believe me I love nice things.

But what a special place the women (who it’s inappropriate to name so casually in public) have created! Beautiful doesn’t even suffice; transcendent, sublime, grace filled, intimate, and I fell in love instantly. I wasn’t warm or comfortable because well I’m never comfortable - just me walking around barefoot in the hard spiky frozen ground, taking a cold shower despite being advised caution and generally exploring my limits. What do you know though - I hope you’ll at least try putting yourself in that position and see how stupid wonderful it is to be connected to this Earth.

To the women and the Goddess that presided over that site, I bow down in gratitude and would love to love you someday in a way only I can. Thank you.

This was the perfect spot for my daughter and I to camp alone for the first time. It felt very safe. The tent was set up and ready including an inflatable double mattress. That saved us a lot of expense and trouble. The host was so kind and helpful making sure we had everything we needed. There was even an extension cord and fan available. Chairs were there to use while enjoying the evening fire and star gazing. She gave us tips on building a fire and provided recommendations for sites to see in the area. She was quick to respond whenever something was needed.
There were more campsites at the location than expected but they were spaced apart so there was still privacy. Remember we are not campers. We expected to be alone in the wilderness. It wasn’t that, but it wasn’t like the public campsites I’ve driven past where it looks like a neighborhood block party with tents. Trails had been made so people would walk around the campsite and not cut through.
There was a shared compost outhouse. That was new for us. It wasn’t our favorite thing, but we had to remind ourselves we were camping. It was definitely better than having to go behind a tree. It was also kept stocked with Lysol cleaner, paper towels and hand sanitizer.
You can’t beat the price. There is so much to do in the area. Plan to spend your days exploring and return to the campsite to cook dinner over the fire and relax with nature.
This weekend camp out started out as a homework assignment for school but it became so much more. We had a great weekend to relax, and enjoy some special mother/daughter bonding time. Thank you! We expect to return.
