Tree House is one of two of the original cabins of Rasayana Cove, a 25-acre eco-retreat. It has been extensively renovated by the current owners. It is nestled in a hammock of ancient live oak trees and looks over a Florida savannah and a small pond.  On the other side of the cabin lies the Horse Creek flood plain.  This creek is one of the main tributaries of the Peace River. The flood plain provides a natural corridor for animal life and a habitat for exotic wading birds, including limpkins, anhingas, spoonbills, wood storks, green herons, blue herons and ibis. The cabin is greatly loved for its solitude and its charm. From 1995 until 2004 Tree House was the current owner's personal living quarters, and with its companion, Hermitage Cabin, constituted the core of our retreat operation. It is self-contained with kitchen, toilet and detached shower.  Off the grid, electric power for fans and lighting is produced by  photo-voltaic panels. 530 sq. ft interior floor space. 600 sq. ft deck under roof. 585 sq. ft open deck. Ideal for yoga, sun-bathing or just enjoying a relaxing drink at sunset.

Our host was very friendly, he met us when we arrived and asked us if there was anything he could do to make our stay better, our host had many amenities and his home was well stocked with essential and comfort items, his cabin was homey and many bed and sleeping options, would definitely reccomend to our friends

Wow. Just Wow!
Dennis is an exceptional host, with 25 acres of beautiful property to match his personality and hospitality.
The attention to detail that Dennis bestowed upon the property and for my personal comfort was absolutely unprecedented.
After a wonderful tour around the property, explaining in detail, the unique stories about every “nook and cranny,” I could not have felt more at home; ironically, here, felt better than home. Dennis’ property was the absolute, perfect nature getaway that I was looking for.
Breath taking views—Mind blowing back stories—His personal “blood, sweat and tears,” put into rebuilding the cabins with his bare hands...Just wow. Impressed is an understatement.

Thank you Dennis for such a peaceful, safe & relaxing getaway. This is my new home away from home as I mentioned on the day of my departure. I will definitely be here once a month! Wow.

This was a wonderful trip for my family! We enjoyed playing outside and spending quality time together here. It was a great getaway and chance to reconnect with each other and the outdoors, equally for our time enjoying inside the cabin too. The host greeted us at checkin and we appreciated how very friendly and caring.

I would say it was very much as advertised. Like camping, but in a wood cabin. I would treat it as such. I don't think we used the 12V lighting once the whole time, just head lamps and lanterns. Having running water is definitely nice.

Had a really great time out by the fire just relaxing, and came back home refreshed and with a new sense of calm. Would recommend to anyone looking to get away without sleeping in a tent.

Be ready for no cell phone coverage or electricity and you'll have a great time!

Staying at the Treehouse was such a beautiful experience for my family and I. The host, Dennis, went out of his way to make sure everyone was comfortable. The views were lovely and we enjoyed the camping feel without having to be out in the elements (unseasonably cold nights). We even woke up to three white tailed deer in the back field and saw an alligator in the pond. There’s a great fire pit with built in seating and a cute little outdoor shower with a view. I would never turn down another opportunity to spend a weekend here, thanks again, Dennis!

Nicely secluded cabin in a peaceful setting. We used this as a home base for exploring the area including Myakka River State Park (about 40mins away). In addition to the full bed pictured, there is a makeshift “loft” (climb up a ladder to small platform) with two additional twin beds. There is an outdoor shower attached to the cabin as well but we ended up not using it because we visited in winter when it was pretty cold and the hot water only comes from the sun (an adjacent cabin does have a shower with hot water available at any time).

I agree with other reviews this is a step above camping but a step below a cabin with full amenities; come if you are looking for peace and tranquility, the trees surrounding the property are quite magical!
