Come and de-stress by snuggling our goats. These bouncing bundles of joy are guaranteed to make you smile! We also have chickens, peacocks, honeybees, and even a pig. We are near Tallahassee but in a rural area, down a bumpy dirt road, but we promise the trip is worth it. Kayaking and hiking right off the property, plus beautiful sunsets on the lake.

We are in a rural area of Tallahassee, along the Florida Big Bend Scenic Byway and surrounded by the beautiful Lake Talquin State Forest. Great fishing and hiking trails and beautiful sunsets. Two Trailwalkers and one Trailtrotter trails are just minutes away.  There is also a 10-mile Lines Bike Trail.  See trail maps in our photos!

We offer a roomy water resistant glamping cabin tent with high quality queen tatami beds  and fresh linens.  The site has a small fire pit, and chairs and table.  If we are under a burn ban, there is a large communal fire pit by the outdoor kitchen. There is no electricity in our tent, but you may charge your devices in the common room.

It is possible to comfortably fit five in the tent with the two beds and one cot (provided when available, ask ahead).

We provide water, wifi, laundry, fresh eggs (unless girls are on break in winter),  milk for purchase (when moms aren't nursing), and fresh fruits and veggies for the picking when in season.

We have a small outdoor kitchen area with grill, stove, utensils, and picnic table. Basic cooking ingredients are provided (oil, salt, pepper, eggs, etc) and you are welcome to pick from the garden when in season.

There is also a common room with sofas, laundry, fridge, microwave, tv, coffee pot, and kettle.

We have a small rustic bath house with hot shower and a composting toilet. Soap, shampoo, conditioner, and fresh towels provided.

There are also water spigots in the camping area.

Common areas and bath house is about 250 feet from camping area, which is located adjacent to the pasture.

We can also offer extra tents and air mattresses for $15/$50 deposit  if you need more space.  You will need to setup/break down the extra tents yourself.   Be sure to message to check that we have an extra tent available before adding it as an extra.

Check-in/Check-out time may be flexible depending upon concurrent bookings! We ask that you clear your campsite by 11am, but you are welcome to spend the remainder of the day hanging out with the goats, kayaking, or just relaxing.

Dogs welcome at all sites, but are not allowed the pasture.  Dogs must be leashed during the day when our chickens free range.  Please bring bags and clean up after your companion animals! We do charge a $10 cleaning fee for pets in our tent.  Please add that extra when you book.

Private and group goat yoga classes may be available during your stay. Check the extras under our booking for schedule and to book a ticket.  You can also add milking lessons!

Please arrive before 7pm. Remember, there is an hour time difference if coming from the west. Late arrivals interfere with our milking routine and we cannot stop milking to show you around. Farm folks also hit the hay pretty early! Please do not book and then tell us you will be arriving late. Thank you.

Feel free to message if you have questions!  The herd looks forward to meeting you!!

Things you should bring:

Lighting for walking about (we will provide a lantern)

Refillable water bottles

Sunscreen if you plan to be out on the lake

Bug Spray

We are located at the end of a bumpy 3/4 mile dirt road off Highway 20/Blountstown Hwy on the lake.  Part of the road is paved, but most is dirt and we are prone to flooding after more than a couple of days of hard rain.   We have several cars in the neighborhood that don't have a problem on the road, but - full disclosure!  If bumpy dirt roads bother you, our road in is not for you.  We - and most of our guests - think it is worth it.

Feel free to message if you have questions!  The herd looks forward to meeting you!!

We really enjoyed our glamping stay at this unique and special place. I had no idea that goats could be so affectionate. There is something very special about these charming animals and the owner and staff are very open to explaining all aspects of the farm and the wonderful animals that live there. Definitely going back.

Melissa was great with everything! We brought two young girls and they love seeing all the animals, my oldest loved the pig. She also fed a baby goat which was definitely a highlight of the trip!

We were there in the summer so it got toasty, but the beds in the glamping tent were very comfy and it was a really nice set up.

What a special place! I loved hanging with the goats and watching them do their thing. The tent I glamped in was very clean and the bed was super comfy - I think it was some kind of memory foam. Checking in was easy, the bathroom and shower situation was great, as were the common areas. I would definitely come back to the Goat House Farm.

The volunteers were so nice and always available if needed but didn’t hover or make you feel like you were being watched. Have the goats right next to the tent was so fun for our 3 year old. Everything was awesome. Loved it!

We had an amazing time!! The glamping tent was so homey, spacious, and clean, we absolutely loved staying in it. The atmosphere of Goat House Farm is awesome, with all the baby goats and other animals. Melissa and her other workers do an amazing job of making you feel right at home, while also letting you just enjoy yourself and do your own thing. Best hosts ever. Can't wait to go back (again)!

We had a wonderful stay! We stayed in the clamping tents and my in-laws stayed in the coop. We had four adults and three children from ages 8 to 12. Everyone had an absolute blast. We did goat yoga, learned how to milk goats, collected eggs from the hens and relax by the fire. The The host Melissa was awesome and all of the volunteers staying there were great. It is a working farm so do not expect a hotel feel. There’s a communal shower and toilet And an outdoor cooking area. We will be back to visit soon!!!!
