(NOTE: After you book, all three of our campsites will be closed for booking. This way you can enjoy all 15 acres to yourself!) Camp REJO!CE Suwannee River is 15 acres of primitive forest, wetlands and 500 feet of riverfront. Owners, Michael and April Patterson, are providing a safe, family, faith-based environment away from the hussle-bussle of city life. Disconnect and feel God's awesome presence! Enjoy primitive camping, fishing (license required), paddling, swimming, exploring, nature watching, lounging in your hammock on the river or by the fire. There is even an optional Bible study held every Saturday right on the river! "Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!" -Phillippians 4:4 *Please read camp rules before booking. HISTORY OF THE SUWANNEE RIVER: It is a wild blackwater river that rises in the Okeefenokee Swamp of south Georgia and meanders more than 238 miles southward through mostly rural Florida farmlands and conservation areas. Florida accounts for 206 of those miles. White Springs is near the headwaters. The flow of the Suwannee River is replenished along its way by numerous freshwater springs. The river's mouth is just south of the fishing village of Suwanee on the Gulf of Mexico. It is considered to be part of Florida's "Nature Coast" aka "real Florida". An area in Florida consisting of 8 counties with almost a million acres of land. The river has been part of Florida's history since the early days, and was the location of Florida's first tourist attraction, White Springs, in the 1830s. -sources: wikipedia, Florida Backroads Travel and Florida Nature Coast

Site 1 - great for large group
Exceeded All Expectations
This stay was exactly as advertised. Quiet, no light pollution, river with fish, 15 acres to hike around and absolutely peaceful. April, the camp host is a delight. There was plenty of firewood and places to camp beside the river or away from it. Very few mosquitoes and gnats, surprisingly. I will be returning.

Very peaceful. Water access was a little disappointing but everything else was as expected. Hosts were very nice. Pricing is fair. Very glad I didn’t take my Mustang, back roads were a little rugged but were fine for a Ford Escape.

Camping By The River
We loved Michael and Aprils land!! Their property is beautiful, wild, and secluded (which we love when camping). We saw owls soar overhead, birds gliding over the river in the morning, and fields of wild flowers. Our hosts were super sweet and kind. Totally recommend this site to future campers! ☺️

Rest and rejuvenate at REJOICE!
Remote, heavily wooded, riverfront property. Very private and peaceful. Easy access to nearby springs. Michael and April graciously share this sanctuary with hearts for giving! As a bonus, they have fresh eggs available for purchase!

Suwannee Primitive Tent Camping
Beautiful area with great fishing in the Suwanee river. Could use a better defined path from parking to the camp site as all of the members of my party got lost going to the car at least once.

Suwannee Primitive Vehicle Camping
I was hoping for a place that I could just relax and enjoy some nature and this was perfect! This is your basic primitive campsites surrounds by old and new growth trees and spring flowers were taking off. Lots of bird chatter and song. I knew what to expect and came well prepared and it was wonderful! The hosts were great! Very friendly and supportive.
