Awesome host. picture perfect spot
What an awesome spot! - beautiful and picturesque. Everyone enjoy spending time by the pond and seeing all the Florida wildlife that this land has to offer.
Hidden gems like this campsite are the reason I continue to use Hipcamp.
Host was wonderful, very friendly and welcoming. Had zero complaints about this place - everything was as described or better!
Comfortable & beautiful camping!
We had the best time staying on Brein's lovely land! The property is large, with many awesome options for setting up your camp site (we were in a tent). You are set up by the pond or under big trees, with lots of privacy if you so choose. We ate breakfast out on the dock over their pond and watched the birds and fish. There are several designated fire pits, and we had a great time hanging out by the fire late into the evenings, watching the stars and listening to owls. There are hoses for cleaning dishes and gear, potable water, lots of chairs and tables to use. One of the nicest parts was a clean outdoor "bathroom" complete with a flushing toilet and sink!
The property has tons of animals and nature. There are chickens and friendly dogs, rabbits and two pigs! At night, you can hear lots of owls and frogs, and in the morning, you hear so many birds. It's so peaceful.
The hosts were SUPER nice and welcoming, and were quick to answer our questions, but also gave us plenty of privacy and freedom. They shared their grill with us so we could make a delicious dinner!
This property is a great home base from which to do lots of activities in the area. We took day trips to paddle at Crystal River and Rainbow Springs, and had a blast doing both.
We will definitely come back to Brein's land in the future, and bring more friends with us next time! It's a perfect space for small or large groups alike. Comfortable, beautiful, great rural Florida experience :)
Spacious property, great for diving
Great stay! Location is perfect for springs and diving. The property is spacious and beautiful. Brein was a great host!
Big rigs: No issues getting in here, the oaks provided plenty of clearance on the way in. Like all of Florida, the ground is a little soft, so be mindful of your wheel locations, though the site itself is hard packed gravel 👍, which isn't always the case with hipcamps. I had my tag + drive axles on the packed site and it was fine. My steer axle was over grass, though it settled in nicely and we weren't at risk of getting stuck. We stayed level the whole time in our 44k lb bus.
Remote workers: Internet was no problem for work. Wifi from Brien, ATT, Verizon all worked plenty fast for zoom calls. F
Florida Springs Scuba Shop (highly recommended for tours and classes): 11 min
Blue Grotto: 14 min
Devil’s Den: 14 min
Rainbow River: 23 minutes
Ginnie Springs: 57 min
Looking forward to staying here again!
Beautiful and conveniently located
We had an awesome time on this property, it has everything you need to enjoy a camping trip, and is very close to the nearby parks and attractions.
Beautiful property and great hosts…it was a fantastic place to relax and enjoy nature…..and chickens. Our dogs were able to run the property, off leash, but make sure your dog doesn’t take a liking to chasing chickens!!. We can’t wait to go back.
Truck tent camping with two dogs
Lovely camping land! We stayed in a truck tent for one night and faced the tent towards the pond to look out over. Loved hearing all of the animal sounds throughout the trip, very cool! There is a flushable toilet on the grounds which is a great addition. There’s a nice pavilion and our dogs were able to be off leash the entire time. I would recommend this site to all.
We loved it so much, we added an additional night. Bree is friendly and extremely helpful. She took the time to explain how you grow mushrooms. We enjoyed scouting for the decorative mushroom statues around her land. Hidden mushrooms. :) We will be back!
This was our first HipCamp experience. We pulled in and picked our spot next to the hookups. The property is gorgeous with beautiful old oak trees which provide great shade. The pond entertained our little fishermen for hours. Close to Rainbow Spring, Goethe State Forest, KP County park. We spent an entire day just relaxing in the shade and enjoying all that nature has to offer. The pond provides the perfect foreground to the impressive sunsets. It is on a quiet, dead end street. We purchased a wheelbarrow of very dry firewood and had a great fire. Loved the chickens and Piranha. We will definitely be back.
