3. Sisters Peak
Not a bad spot
Lovely outlook but ground was quite sloped and barren, we had to dig a wheel in ( and fill the hole when we left) just to get the van level. We were closer to the next site than we expected, luckily we had good neighbours! There was a distant hum from the local Lithium mine nearby but didn’t really bother us. The sheep grazing around us were not a problem and there was not a fly, bug or mozzie to be seen so you could comfortably sit outside at night. We thought it was a bit expensive at $40 a night when there wasn’t any facilities at all, not even a bin for rubbish. We also would have liked to see the owners at least once, just a quick hello to know they cared about who was staying on their land. In general though, nice and peaceful and close to town if you feel like a coffee or icecream. Thanks

1. Brothers Hill
Tranquility with sheep
Such a peaceful and tranquil place with amazing views of rolling hills. Great place if you like feeling remote and being away from crowds. We were the only ones there besides some sheep so extremely quiet with the occasional baa baa! This is a rural property so there is a long drive on a dusty gravel road and there were quite a lot of large ants and sheep droppings.

One word to describe this place is WOW!!! From the moment you drive up to your site the views are just breathtaking. We stayed on site 1 at Brothers Hill and couldn’t have asked for a better site. Access with our 21ft Van was a breeze, signage and directions were spot on. Went for a beautiful long walk around the property which was amazing. The stone fire pit supplied on site was the perfect backdrop for what was just one of the best hipcamp we have ever been to. Sunset was amazing, sheep come for a visit. We will definitely be back for a visit and can’t recommend this place enough if you are after a private getaway with views that go on forever. Thanks Blackwood Ridge for a wonderful experience.

The location and views were lovely unfortunately the site itself was overgrown with weeds and double g prickles that were knee high in areas. There was no road or clear path to the site so it made it very hard to find a level spot for a caravan. Made walking around the property a bit hard as there was no clear footing. Not recommended for caravans but would be ok for a roof top camper or trailer camper if you took a wipper snipper 😂
The sheep were friendly. Didn’t see the host for the whole 3 days we were there. Could be a lovely spot and worth the money if a little bit of clearing or maintenance was done.

Beautiful camping with a view
Beautiful spot, we had the site at the top of the hill. Sunset and sunrise was amazing.
