Site 3 - Beach Camp - Long Beach Peninsula
I appreciate that there was a porta potty, but it had not been serviced for 4 weeks when we were there according to the maintenance schedule and to the condition of the porta potty. There was plenty of toilet paper, but that toilet was FULL.
Also the sites should be better marked , we came in at night in the dark and had to ask other campers where our site was.
Good things though, not buggy, close to beach.

Had a great time you really gave us the total spot we asked for and we met nice people

Haven
Shelly’s place is a magic haven! I wish we could have stayed more than a night. Really would be fun for larger groups. Outdoor shower and goats

Enjoyed camping here! A bit less secluded than I would have liked. Very clean porta and nice picknic bench.

Several issues unfortunately
There’s a lot of work needed on making sure you’re in the right spot. There are two separate Hipcamp sides in the same area and it’s almost impossible to distinguish between the two. We were apparently taking up two spots one with our host and one with a separate host but it looked like one spot. We’re in a pop up camper and set up to the gills so when the other camper came 2 days into our trip they basically had to leave and go find something else. This was not their or our fault and I hope they were well compensated. Also there’s an RV park right next to us with two large black dogs that are aggressive and loose. This really freaked out our dogs as they showed teeth and our dog is very submissive. They came over many times and there was not much we could do. A fence would solve this issue. Otherwise than those two things it was fine. Lol. Oh and our “fire pit” was a small ring of rocks and not a legal fire pit by any means. I don’t write bad reviews but people considering this place should know about these if they don’t fix them.

there are zero facilities and the cost per night is over $50. doesn't make sense and honestly is not worth it. no one ensures the sites are well-kept between bookings, which was clear from the moment we arrived. our fire pit was FULL of plastic rubbish and cig butts. there were also pieces of rubbish scattered around our area. we thought the sites would have a bit of space between them, but there was a tent about 10 feet from ours.
