Nestled right beside the Murrundini River, all 3 campsites are beside the river, and well spaced apart for privacy and peace. Campsite 2 (site two) is shady, surrounded by tall swamp gums, black wood wattles and tree ferns. This spot is at its best from late spring through to autumn . Site One is a large flat area beside the river that is good all year round. It has fencing and gates, perfect to let dogs run free without going too far. Site 3 (Craig's flat), is a large open campsite, able to take more camper-vans/ tents with plenty of space. All sites have fire places. And there are plenty of fish for those that want to try their luck. The original home stead (built in 1876) burnt down in the 2009 black Saturday fires. There still remains many 150+ year old elms and other European trees near the toilet block, which are delightful in autumn. We have some fantastic views from the hill up and down the Murundindi Valley, especially at sunset. We're located only a few short km's from Wilhelmina Falls and Murundindi Scenic Reserve, you get the best part of the river, without the crowds. We are a short drive from Melbourne, and easy access to the townships of Yea and Yarra Glen for supplies if you need them. Amazing, abundant & rare bird life to enjoy and photograph. It was a really good location. We have our 4 month old puppy with us on our trip. He had a good time as well.

How’s the serenity
Peaceful and clean with the only noise from the river running by and a few native birds. The host was very hospitable and friendly. We’ll be back again ! 10/10

Craigs Flat - Site 3
Been here a couple of times, really enjoy the space, thanks Michael! Sites are spread out far so there is privacy for all. Mountains out front, and creek out back, very comfortable and relaxing.

Craigs Flat - Site 3
We loved camping on Michael’s land. Everything described on Hicamp is spot on. Awesome location, right next to the river and a short walk away from the very clean toilet. We will be back!

Camping with dogs
Great stay, direct access to the creek, fenced off to keep the dogs in, we didn’t see or hear other sites from our camping spot. Picnic table, bbq and camp fire were amazing touches, which made the stag even better. Thanks so much for having us!
