Our property, "Seven Hills Tallarook", sits high above Tallarook with deep valleys and high peaks, just over one hour North of Melbourne's CBD. The property is 600 acres of thick Victorian bush and farmed paddocks. We have a wide range of hobby farm animals - pigs, sheep, cattle, alpacas, chickens, ponies, a donkey, along with commercial heard of South African Boer Goats. As night falls, the wildlife come out to play - kangaroos, rabbits, deer and wallabies Internally, we have in excess of 10 kilometers of roads within the property, the majority being 2WD accessible (weather conditions apply). There are parts of the property which are only 4WD accessible. Our campsites are placed to allow you to be as isolated as possible - away from other campers (you may see others as you drive past, or they drive past you).

Site 6 - Bush Camping
Easter camping
This property was fantastic!! So close to the city but yet far enough away, the individual sites are huge with a variety of options in shade, sunny spots for your solar or a bit of both! From looking around every site has its own picnic table which is a great idea and they were very helpful. The property owners also left plenty of water at the camp fires to help with putting it out each night. We had an issue with one of our cars and we had to change the camp site once we arrived and they were great to deal with at the last minute change. We saw a couple kangaroos and some bird life, but surprisingly not an abundance of wildlife. We were also pretty surprised that not all the camp sites were booked and there was plenty of vacant sites. I’d definitely recommend this place and plan on going back.

Site 4 - Bush Camping
Lovely bush camp
We stayed at bush site #4 and loved it! It was a great little spot, nice bits of shade, kids loved running around, climbing trees, playing hide and seek etc. not too much dirt either, nice to have a bit of grass under our feet, plenty of room between neighbours, literally felt like we were the only ones out there even with neighbouring sites. We would definitely come back here, just make sure you take enough water for drinking, dishes and hand washing.

Catch a Yabby or Two
Perfect camping spot for a couple of families with young kids. The dams were perfect for the yabbie nets and the kids caught some good size ones, although we put them all back in. Lots to do around the property, feeding the pigs and goats, exploring the bush trails, collecting wood and enjoying the great campfire pits at the site
