Escape to Big Sky Sanctuary! Your Camano Island oasis awaits. Nestled between Seattle and Bellingham, Big Sky Sanctuary offers a serene escape for nature lovers and adventurers. This tranquil haven is nestled amidst towering old-growth cedars, in a storybook-perfect mossy evergreen forest. We offer two dry RV sites, each equipped with a fire ring and a picnic table, surrounded by natural beauty. There's plenty of room to bring your hammock or lounge chairs. Cozy up with a book and listen to the birds by day and admire the glittering stars by night. You can immerse even more fully in the forest by walking our winding quarter-mile nature trail, which starts just behind the larger of our RV pads. You're welcome to bring your furry friends along on a leash. For those seeking water-based adventures, a boat launch and beach are conveniently located about 2 miles away. Crabbing, kayaking, and paddleboarding are popular among locals. Keep your eyes out for porpoises and seals! If warmer water is more your style, we have a hot tub that you can book in advance :) Come unwind!

Secluded Forest Escape on Camano
We stumbled upon a hidden gem on Hipcamp and couldn't wait to share it! Arriving at our secluded forest pad felt like stepping into another world. Lush greenery surrounded us, a welcome relief from the city noise. The flat site was perfect for setting up our trailer – easy peasy! This spot is ideal for a getaway with friends too – there's another campsite nearby, so next time we'll be back with our crew. The property itself offered a delightful surprise – a nature trail to explore, teeming with beautiful trees and plants. Just a few miles away, the beach beckoned with soft sand beneath our feet. An afternoon spent exploring the state park rounded out our perfect escape. Foodies will rejoice! Several charming cafes and restaurants are close by, but the tranquility of the site itself could easily be your entire culinary experience. We were rejuvenated by the peacefulness – the sound of the wind whispering through the trees was pure meditation. The hosts were fantastic! They ensured our comfort while respecting our privacy, striking the perfect balance. There's even room for an extra car or visitors, and tent campers are welcome too! This secluded forest escape is a definite "we'll be back" for us! Easy, beautiful, and truly rejuvenating – Hipcamp never disappoints!
