Site 3 - Middle Bosque River Camp experience
Loved it!
Our main goal for this trip was to watch the eclipse away from crowds; it was the perfect spot! The whole camping area was beautiful and peaceful. Joe came out a couple of times to visit each campsite to ensure everything was going well. I highly recommend camping at Joe's!

Site 1 - Middle Bosque River Camp experience
True Texas Hospitality!
We had the pleasure of staying at Joe's land for the eclipse! We could not have asked for a better location or host. The camp was easy to find with excellent signage. Tha sites are large and range in level of shade. The bathroom was clean and adequate. Joe's communication with us was quick and informative. If you are traveling to this part of Texas, I would highly recommend staying here!

Site 2 - Middle Bosque River Camp experience
Easy camping on the picturesque riv
Middle Bosque Camp is comfortable, with mowed grass, well-controlled ants, a clean bathroom, firepits and firewood, and a tree-shaded path to the river. Sites have good picnic tables, charcoal grills with ash bucket and water, and both sun and shade depending on weather. Sites are far apart so you hardly notice other campers, yet the shared central firepit and picnic table encourage friendly mixing if you're interested. Joe is friendly and helpful. The riverbank is limestone, making it easy to reach the water. Joe supplies kayaks with pfds for water play. Easy to find with clear directions.

Site 5 - Middle Bosque River Camp experience
Solar Eclipse Camping
We camped here for the 2024 Solar Eclipse and had wonderful time. We stayed at site #5 which was nice and secluded in the woods. The next day we walked down to the river and spent the day with Joe and other campers watching the eclipse. It was an amazing experience and Joe very hospitable host. He went above and beyond and we appreciate that he didn’t raise the prices for the eclipse. Can’t wait to go back and spend a day on the river.

Site 3 - Middle Bosque River Camp experience
We loved our stay on Joe's land! The camping area was open so it was great for our large group! Joe was a great host. He checked in on us daily and answered all our questions. The sites were just a short walk to the river which was perfect for the littles in our group.
We appreciated the bathroom access. Camped in March and the sun was out so the kids enjoyed the river! We definitely recommend this site!
