We have an authentic sugar shack nestled on a 100 plus acre property that hosts fields, streams and mountain forests. We offer great views plenty of quiet off grid glamping experiences. We are offering a bed and breakfast set up. Which provides a hot or cold breakfast to you door, we will even pack it to go for an early morning adventure. There is a complete picnic area with gas grill, and burner ( with pots, pans, tea kettle, coffee press and utensils) if you like to cook. There is a small library, chess back gammon, cards and dominoes. There are plenty of miles of dirty roads to explore mountain biking or hiking. The white river is near by for fly fishing, kayaking, canoeing and tubing. There is a private fire pit area to sip a cocktail, enjoy a s’more or just relax on the couch and experience the firefly’s. There is also plenty of water at our two water stations and a private out house for your cabin. We are less than an hour away from some of the best VT tourist spots.Check in at the house and request your breakfast preferences. Take a short ride to your field access and then a short walk to your private sugar shack glamping experience. You will enjoy a comfy queen size bed with limited off grid solar power and all the comforts of home. There is no wifi so unplug and enjoy the view. Great place to chill and unwind from the rat race . There is a small library, chess/checkers and cards for a lazy day stay , a hammock for a nap after your busy day exploring. We are located on a VT country road great for mountain bikes to explore. There are great local farmers markets and restaurants to try. Not far from Woodstock, Quechee, Montpelier and Killington . We offer a full breakfast hot or cold to start your day off fueled for fun . We can even pack it to go if you’d like ( picnic style). Come and enjoy our slice of Vermont, you will be glad you did !

Homestead Sugar Shack
Magical Nature Retreat
Wow, what a magical gem of a place and a true retreat nestled in the mountains. Lori and Drew thought of every detail in such a way that allowed us to have everything we needed. The aesthetic was cozy and beautiful. Lori's breakfasts were delicious. We were sad to have to leave and are already looking into when we can return. Absolute perfection!

Homestead Sugar Shack
A wonder to behold
Lori and Drew were amazing hosts! They welcomed us upon our arrival and asked our breakfast requests (all diets accommodated)! It was a short walk over to the sugar shack, down a nice grassy path, passed a swimming pond with fresh water. (Parking at the bottom of the hill) We were provided a beautiful, clean, and cozy shack to rest our heads at night. We enjoyed the outdoor fire pit with couch and pillows. The outhouse is pristine! Equipped with composting feature, cleaner, toilet paper, and lights. For cooking, they have a grill, pots and pans, utensils, and plates. And I cannot forget about the French press! (Coffee, tea, cream And sugar provided as well!) There is a nice little hiking trail behind the shack and a stream that travels down the mountain and provides the most beautiful sounds throughout the day and night. The sound of crickets filled the air allowing for a truly off grid experience. The stars at night were phenomenal and there is plenty of open field space to lay down your blanket and star gaze all night long. We are close to Woodstock, vt which gave easy access to groceries and shopping. The sugar shack is tucked away between the mountains giving us a weekend of beauty and relaxation. I cannot recommend this place enough!
