Dead End Creek

South Texas off-grid camping at its most rugged. 

No running water, no paved roads, no electricity.... but you get total privacy! Get away from it all and pitch your tent, hang a hammock or boondock your camper van in total seclusion. Approximately 20 acres on a creek to explore with lots of curious wildlife including turkey, deer, and armadillos. Walking trails abound with 2 reservable campsites with firepits, and an unbeatable sunset view overlooking a quiet creek.  Contactless check in, unique gate code provided prior to arrival. Centrally located shared outhouse, just a 1-2 minute walk from any campsite.

Plenty of room to hang hammocks, or place a few tents under the oak canopy. Fire pit, grill, and a few stump seats make for a cozy fireside meal.

Watch the sun set over the creek with your best bud.

The Garden House

Close to the town of Gonzales, there is plenty of history to see in this neat little town. Gonzales, Tx is where the first shot during the Mexican war was fire that today has branded there own flag of a cannon with the saying "Come and Take It". The property has grasslands on a slight hill just enough to give an amazing view of the surrounding landscape. We are currently building our property up living off of the grid in our 5th wheel. We will be building a 5 acre fruit and vegetable farm with plenty of activities to do. If you like bees, or would like to learn a little about them, we have our own hives here where we are currently raising about 40,000 of them. Questions about growing, we can see if we can answer them.
The property is easy access right off the hwy and only a few miles to town where activities range from hiking, swimming, golfing, history exploring, kayaking and many more activities. We are within a couple hours to the coast, Austin, Texas, San Antonio, and a little farther to Houston.Learn more about this land:Open land on 5 acres. Parking is on grass with a fire pit, washers for entertainment, and a larger pit. Close proximity to the famous town of Gonzales, Texas with plenty to do including fishing, kayaking, golfing, hiking, museums and so much more. We are centralized from Austin Texas, San Antonio, and the coast which is no more then 2 hours away to either location. 
We are currently in the process of building a fruit and vegtable farm so additions will be made as time goes on.

Secluded Guadalupe River Spot

These are unique camping spots along the Guadalupe River. I didn’t exactly understand how unique until I started getting feedback from my campers. 

The surrounding scenery will lower your blood pressure and do wonders to let you reconnect with nature. Sit back and close your eyes late in the evening and listen to all the wildlife talking to each other. There is faint traffic noise from 90A about a 1/3 of a mile away but it calms down after 7 or so.

Currently no amenities but I am in the plans for some portable bathrooms. Please be prepared to cover all your bathroom and cooking needs. I do have some good clean well water from a faucet on the way into the campgrounds.

Campfires are permitted. 

There is a convenience store (Diamond A) with clean bathrooms and a great bbq just 5 miles to the west on 90A and a Walmart and HEB 10 miles to the east on 90A. No dogs over 20 pounds on sites 1 and 2 but sites 3 and 4 are great areas to bring your high-energy dogs. No matter the size or temperament of your pets you are always expected to have them under your control at ALL times. I have very small livestock on the area on occasion.

I am almost always on the property and try to have my phone with me while campers are on site, just let me know what you need and I will do what I can to accommodate you.

So many trees my kids didn't fight over "the best spot" to hang their hammocks. We hung four hammocks and they all had great views of the river.

For your enjoyment there is a shared dock on the Guadalupe River that makes for some relaxing fishing.  We are accustomed to the abundant wildlife that lives in the area.  It is not uncommon to see deer, raccoons, opossums, turkeys, fox, snakes, and other natural wildlife.  Come and enjoy some relaxing time with us.
