Situated at 5200ft in elevation, and removed from all nearby city noise and light pollution, the air is clean, the setting is quiet, and the dark night skies are perfect for star gazing. You’ll also find four miles of frontcountry and backcountry hiking trails, and although there is no camping inside the park, options are available in nearby Davis Mountains State Park and the town of Fort Davis. Just one mile furhter more than 2,700 acres of mile-high peaks—the highest is 5,600 feet—and rugged plains look out over the surrounding Chihuahuan Desert in Davis Mountains State Park. Wild scenery is a guarantee, whether you choose to explore by horseback or mountain bike, hike all the way to the Fort Davis National Historic Site, or picnic along Limpia Creek. Pets are allowed. Dark Sky TIPI *GLAMPING* on 30ACRES
Great Modern Camping
TIPI was a great retreat away from the city. Would definitely recommend to anyone that is trying to be outdoorsy and doesn't want to go through the hassle of actual camping. Will definitely try to stay there again!

Glamping perfection.
Staying in the Tipi was awesome! The shared bathroom was very nice with a spacious shower. The outdoor shared kitchen had everything needed to cook up dinner. Will definitely stay here again. The night sky was clear with so many stars.

Quiet RV Spot on Private 30 ACRES
The RV spot was clean with easy electrical, and plumbing hook ups. The site was fairly level with a clean gravel base. The semi-seclusion with spectacular sunset views was wonderful. I cannot say enough about the friendly atmosphere and helpfulness of the hosts, but the highlight for us is the magnificent maze of well-groomed trails. They snake harmoniously throughout the cabin and RV area and into a secluded 15-acre section that is both people and pet friendly (as long as everyone stays on the trail and out of the West Texas cactus and thorny brush). We highly recommend this for a great stay!
