Primitive camping
Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
The camp site is approximately 6 acres located in a quiet secluded forest area near highway 525. A fire pit with wood is provided on non-burn ban days. A flat grassy area is big enough to enjoy your recreation activity of choice. Bring your binoculars and check out all the different kinds of birds. Nearby wetlands provide lots of food for birds, bats, and dragonflies. Other wildlife you may see are deer, bunnies, owls, quail, butterflies, garter snakes, and raccoons. Lots of native flora can be identified with your plant identification app or book. The beach is about a mile away where you can hunt for sea glass and enjoy the waves or build yourself a shelter out of driftwood. The mostly flat gravel road can accommodate any size RV. 10 minutes to Coupeville, Greenbank Farm, Ebey's Landing, Port Townsend Ferry, and Patmore Pit Dog Park. 20 minutes to Freeland 25 minutes to Oak Harbor 30 minutes to the Clinton-Mukilteo Ferry 35 minutes to Deception Pass What you will need to bring: - self-contained RV, camper van, motorhome, or camping gear with camp toilet - water - grill or rack for fire pit - camp chairs/table - mosquito repellent - flashlights - recreation equipment Dogs are allowed but must be kept on a leash and in the presence of the owner at all times. Excessive barking will not be tolerated. Quiet hours start at 10:00 pm and no loud parties will be allowed. Up to 8 hip campers at a time. The site address with detailed directions will be sent to you after booking. Dragonfly Retreat
Good lay mid-island over spot on Whidbey. With no leaves in the trees it definitely felt close to the main island “highway”. There are a couple of beautiful old cedar trees and a lovely fire pit to enjoy. Great directions to the site from Tracy.

Large private area to camp just through a neighborhood in the woods, you can hear the road from camp but not a lot of traffic. Worked great for me for home base to camp in a pop up with a dog. Two deer were standing beside the camper in the morning. Fire ring and bench to sit beside.

This is my second visit to Tammy's site. I feel safe there. Depending on where you set up there is either sun or shade. And of course it switches from side to side during the day. So if you want morning sun to warm up your camp, choose the side that's on the left as you drive in. Tammy is extremely responsive.

This was the perfect, private, camping get away. The neighborhood going up to it, you wouldn’t think but it was perfect. They were such a great host as well. Would definitely stay here again!
