I have just over 21 acres of land in the woods. Perfect for deer hunters, nature lovers, and city folk just needing a getaway. All comforts of home, but in the middle of nowhere. State park is nearby, hosting a golf course, riding stables, and rope courses, zip lining and waterfalls you can hike to the bottom of. Beautiful place to spend the day hiking, or just taking in the beauty Learn more about this land: I have about 43 acres of woodlands, that have many deer and turkey roaming around. Rent the loft, you can hunt my land. Have large fire pit available. Hens provide eggs, and pigs to eat up any scrap food you may want to leave behind.400sq ft rustic loft, 1queen bed, one couch, tv, kitchenette, and bathroom. Wether you want to hunt, or just getaway from reality, this is a good hideout. Hidden in the woods, just one rooster who can not tell time! During winter time please bring propane to help with the heat. Either a 20lb bbq tank or the one pound propane bottles. Your welcome to use charcoal grill, hammock, or play some corn hole, I have those available for you. Hens provide eggs, when they are laying. 400sq ft rustic loft, 1queen bed, one couch, tv, kitchenette, and bathroom. Wether you want to hunt, or just getaway from reality, this is a good hideout. Hidden in the woods, just a few roosters who can not tell time! Also know this is a pet friendly place and my vacuum can’t always pick up every stray dog hair, but I always do a thorough cleaning. I do have free range chickens so please keep pets on a leash til the chickens go to bed if you think they will want to love my chickens to death. Thank you

Best Roadtrip Sleep

This Hipcamp was the perfect stop to break up a long drive down the east coast: the bed was incredibly comfy, the shower was wonderful and I was very pleasantly surprised with all the amenities. I will definitely be back if I find myself in the area again!! :)

Krys was so friendly and laud back, she made us feel like we were family. Collected fresh eggs for us. She even asked if there was anything we needed that she might have so we didn't have to go into town. She's a total sweetheart!

Had everything you need, super clean, and the host was very friendly and accommodating. Town was super close if you need anything. Near a few wonderful hiking and fishing spots. Well worth the price

Beyond the Hipcamp!

This was our fourth visit to what has become our favorite hipcamp. In the past we have enjoyed it as a perfect resting stopover while traveling cross country. This time we were able to stay long enough to sample the surrounding area and we’ve fallen in love with Krys’s mountain. There are several amazing waterfalls and (free) State Parks within a half hour drive from this hipcamp. Also, there are nearby restaurants with delicious food and very reasonable prices. We loved the Old Times Cafe just up the road and the Foglight Foodhouse near Rock Island Falls. Hannsz Hideaway has everything you need to cook an amazing meal there, too and Krys was so generous in sharing produce from her garden with us. She sets the bar for hipcamp excellence! We are planning a much longer stay for our next visit.

Hannsz Hideaway

Our highest recommendation!

This was our second stay at Hannsz Hideaway. It is the perfect halfway point for our frequent trips between Michigan and Florida. Of all the hipcamps we’ve visited this is the best. Krys is an amazing host going above and beyond to make her guests feel comfortable and welcome. The Hideaway has everything one might need for an overnight or extended stay. At this time we are heading back for our third visit. This property receives our highest recommendation!
