Jeffrey’s place is always an oasis in the middle of the city. It’s tucked away and private. The flush toilet outhouse is always spotless yet fragrance-free (thank you for not putting chemical scent in there!!!). Jeffrey has put in some more trees since my last stay, and it’s looking really lovely. You can tell it’s a labor of love. The picnic table is such a welcome addition. It seems like the neighbor with the yappy dogs is making more of an effort to quiet the pups. Thanks so much for hosting me!!

Explore a different side of Tucson
We needed a spot quick & close in Tucson. Jeff’s little oasis filled the bill for us and opened up exploring a different side of Tucson. The spot is secured behind a stout fence and easy to access. The outdoor comode was an extra we appreciated. We walked to 5 Points Restaurant & Market for Saturday breakfast as well as nearby Mexican restaurants. Jeff, and his dad Dave, were very friendly and offered directions to nearby destinations. We would definitely stay here again if the opportunity arises. Thanks Jeff!

We can’t get enough of this place
Yet another great stay at Ochoa — our favorite base camp in one of our favorite cities. As always, Jeff was accommodating and helpful. He gave me a place to store my bike out of the rain, toilet paper just appeared in the bathroom right before it ran out, and helped us receive our packages safe and sound.

Great safe yard, awesome location
This was my 2nd time staying at Jeffrey’s camp. The location can’t be beat for the gem show! Jeffrey keeps the yard neat & tidy, the outhouse (flush toilet!) was spotless, and he’s added a picnic table which is a great idea. I don’t remember if it has a hole in the center for an umbrella, but if it does, I will try to remember to bring an umbrella next time I stay there.
This time the neighbor’s dogs were kind of barky, I’m sure the smell of my dog, and the sounds I was making triggered them. But I’m surprised the neighbor allows them to carry on for so long!
There is one area of the yard that is pretty bad for goat heads. For whatever reason, that’s where my dog wanted to hang out the most, so I pulled a lot of goat heads out of her paws. I don’t know any way of dealing with them other than waiting until they sprout and pulling the weeds before they have a chance to go to seed.
There are some old nails and screws in the dirt in the yard, not on the nice gravel pad Jeffrey made for rigs to park on, but due to the length of my van I have to drive around on the dirt to get to the pad. I threw away a couple dozen, next time I will definitely remember to bring my big magnet to do a sweep before driving in. I think that when it rains, more get uncovered.
Overall, it’s a great safe place when you need a spot to park it, and have access to a flush toilet, water spigot, and RV sewer dump. Because it’s fully fenced, my dog could be off leash, which she appreciated.

His place was located close to hiways and downtown and the Tucson Gem Show while we were there. Its functional and well kept with secure gates. Good food within walking distance further adds to its appeal
