Nestled in the quiet beauty of Glen Echo, "Rosehill" has been a cherished part of the Ross Family since 1958. Tucked away along the picturesque Munna Creek, our farmstay is a tranquil escape just 40 minutes south of Maryborough, 35mins north of Gympie and a scenic 2.5-hour drive from Brisbane. Finding us is easy - from Tiaro/Gympie via the Woolooga/Bauple road, just 5 minutes off into Glen Echo. At "Rosehill," we offer a variety of camping experiences on our semi-private campsites without amenities. We do have a Bush Shower/Toilet at the homestead that you're welcome to come and use. Bring your pushbikes and explore the closest National Trail (section 5) Whether you're seeking solitude or planning a group event, we have options to suit your needs. Looking for a unique venue for your special day? Consider "Rosehill" for a fully catered farm wedding experience or reserve one of our locations for complete privacy. Speaking of livestock, "Rosehill" is also home to RottyHill rottweilers, where we've been successfully breeding natural-born bobtail and tailed dogs for over 20 years. Join your hosts Dave n Kim overlooking King Dam on our safe, level grassy area out the front of Rosehill Farm. With picturesque views over both aspects of the farm and a bush toilet/shower(hot/cold) onsite.  This spot is suitable for the quick stopover on your journey elsewhere or just for easy camping close to the man-cave for happy hour and/or a game of pool/darts.  You can access the kitchen area on request or join us for a cook up with a port in front of our fireplace on a winters eve to unwind and appreciate the peaceful surrounds and farm outlook. Perfect place to pull up in your motorhome for a change of scenery or to use as a base camp whilst you explore the region. This camp cannot have dogs/cats or other pets due to the horses and Rotty's who also wander through this area.

Hidden Gem amongst the Gumtrees facing North East looking over the property with total privacy. There are no amenities up here and there are also no neighbours with Rosehill Homestead over the hill to the south.  Perfect location to host that family reunion or gather a social group or large group of friends.  There are lots of trails on the farm to follow or you can ride out on your pushbikes to the National Trail routes available nearby. https://nationaltrail.com.au/wp-content/uploads/NT.Chart_.Sect5_.png  Enjoy panoramic views towards Mt Kanigan across our winter pastures.   Couple of great waterholes to check out and plenty of firewood for your campsite. We had an awesome stay at Rose Hill with the family. The property is beautiful, peaceful, and has plenty of space for the kids to explore and enjoy the outdoors. The facilities were well maintained, and everything was exactly as described. The hosts were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. They were always happy to help and clearly take a lot of pride in looking after the property and their guests. We had a fantastic weekend and will definitely be back. Highly recommend Rose Hill to anyone looking for a relaxing family camping getaway!

Such a beautiful place to stay, so quiet as there was no other campers. We loved sitting around the fire and looking at the stars. David & Kim are the best hosts we have come across. We loved having a few drinks with them and listening to their stories. We will definetly be heading there again.

Rosehill Lakeside - Bluegum Bar
Dave and Kim were great hosts. We had a lovely, quiet and private camp down near the dam which was full of birdlife. The cows were a delight to watch with their new calves. Happy hour was a highlight at the "Man Cave". Definitely come back again for a peaceful weekend away not far from the hustle and bustle. Thanks Dave and Kim we really appreciated your hospitality.

What a fantastic spot! Easy to find, so scenic, and amazing hosts, we got a little turned around finding our original destination, booking rose Hill late in the afternoon, the hosts were friendly, accommodating and more than helpful, the spot my wife and I camped on was so beautiful, waking up on the edge of the dam, with cows cruising around was quite majestic, we wont hesitate to pull in here again, thankyou so much for having us!!

Loved the break and it was just to chill. Would have been handy to take the rod....forgot.... damn had to watch nature cook, have a wine cook on the fire, watch nature some more, watch the fire and go to bed when you think its late but its 8.30 and wake at 6.30 start again...so good

I camped near the lakeside. Awesome views in general but moon rise and star looks much closer to Rosehill than any Brisbane. More is David and Kim are amazing hosts. We discussed agriculture while my kids patted horses and cows. Loved Davs spicy ginger beer and that led us to exchanged some chilli varieties. If uses my variety, you fellas going to get even spicer ginger. To sum up, I should say.. it was an exceptional stay! Wonderful host.

Stayed here with friends and the site felt genuinely private, with easy access to the creek. The hosts were excellent, friendly, responsive, and accommodating throughout. By far the best hosting experience we’ve had on Hipcamp. We had well-behaved dogs and appreciated being able to have them off lead. David also suggested lunch at the nearby Gundy Pub, which was a wonderful recommendation. Would return and recommend without hesitation!

Beautiful property, even though there were others staying there we seemed like we were on our own and loved having dips in the flowing creek right behind our camp site. Hosts David and Kim were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Would definitely recommend this and we will be back.

Highly recommended. Secluded and large location by the creek which we had to ourselves with generous fire wood available from fallen trees with big pits. Most of all Dave and Kim were fantastic and so welcoming along with always being up for a chat and plenty of stories about their property. Creek was nicely flowing and good enough for fresh off. Few midges around after the rain would be the only thing to consider but we had the fires going the whole time to combat. Great spot

Rosehill Creek Camp 4 Site 4
This is a lovely camping spot with not too many sites and has easy access to a refreshing creek which the kids loved playing in. We stayed on a different site than the one we had booked to get better solar coverage. Unfortunately we chose the one weekend a year when there was a music festival being held in a nearby field and this did impact on our enjoyment of our stay as we were able to hear the base throughout the day and night.

Lovely quiet place. Nice little creek. Kids loved the farm animal tour. If you're looking for a place to set up and just relax in your own space (which we were), this is the right place (meaning not a lot to do in the immediate area). Creek was lovely to swim in. Hosts were very friendly.

Great spot, lovely creek, kids had lots of fun. David and Kim were very hospitable and the kids loved patting and feeding the horses. Stayed at the creek site which was too far to walk to the shower/toilet so bear that in mind when booking. Closer site is the dam site. Kids took bikes but due to recent rain was pretty muddy and mozzies were bad in the evening so bring bug spray and long sleeves. Bought a generous bag of firewood - burnt well. Had a great time floating down the creek and having the place to ourselves. (Also Kim does amazing leatherwork. :))

David and Kim were very accommodating and a lovely mature couple. Very open and welcoming, we felt right at home and enjoyed our stay at the Rosehill Farmstay Lakeland site, would recommend for a peaceful nature filled environment, could not see other campers which was a delight in itself. Granted it was a fair drive from Gympie/Maryborough but perfect for a relaxing, slow paced getaway. Definitely going on the list to return to.

Rosehill Lakeside - Flindosy Rise
My family and I loved camping here for 3 nights. Hosts were wonderful and the area was private, lovely and spacious. Kayaks were an added bonus 🥰

Rosehill Farm - stopover
Absolutely amazing - very secluded, a great location, and Kim and Dave were the best hosts. Had a great time sharing a beer (or three) and stroking their Rotty puppies :) Will definitely be back!

The Farm and camp sights were absolutely beautiful and the amenities were clean and easily accessed. We were lucky enough to have the whole place to ourselves and thoroughly enjoyed the tranquility. The dam was lovely for a fish and swim, and David and Kim were the best hosts we have ever experienced… seriously, we’ll be back just to hang out with them and all the animals again :)

Rosehill Creek - Glamping Camper
My family and I loved our stay at David and Kim's place, They were so helpful and available when we had questions. The place is beautiful and we managed to have a fun family vacation with two animal loving children. From playing in the creek to riding horses the fun was never ending. It was also great to see the love and knowledge they have from their animals that they taught my children.

Was a really nice get away, the owners were really nice and welcoming, unfortunately due to ran we had to leave early but will definitely be booking it again. Cheered

Nice quiet spot to camp. Beside a small creek. We towed our off road van in and out without any trouble. Might not be so easy if wet due to the hills. Grassy site when we were there. We had the whole area to ourselves, which was a bonus. David and Kim are lovely hosts.

Rosehill Lakeside - Bluegum Bar
We had the most peaceful stay at Rosehill Farmstay this week. It’s exactly what we were looking for - peace and serenity! We were very lucky to have the place to ourselves (there is only a small number of sites anyway, which I think is great..no overcrowding..and they are spread out to ensure privacy and peace). The kids loved kayaking and fishing in the dam and walking among the cows. Thanks Dave and Kim for hosting such a perfect spot for us to unwind and recharge! We will definitely be back to enjoy your peaceful retreat!

Just enjoyed a couple of nights in area 4, across sites 1 and 2 with 2 x caravans. Dave and Kim were very welcoming and friendly, guided us across the paddocks to our lovely grassy site by the creek. It’s a bit hilly and undulating to get to, 4WD essential! Curious cattle wandering around to check us out. Had a dip in the creek which was flowing well for us at the time, beautiful temp to enjoy on a humid afternoon. Saw a platypus in there in the morning too! Would totally recommend for the self contained and well equipped… beautiful spot, will be back … perhaps when it’s a little cooler!

Dave and kim were lovley. Their property is great for a weekend away from the crouds. The creek gave our kids endless fun and adventure.

This is an odd review in that we never actually made it to Rosehill Farmstay as we had a medical emergency come up. Very last minute I contacted the hosts David and Kim hoping they may consider giving us a credit for the future and they went above and beyond our expectation with a full refund. In this age of corporate greed it is so refreshing to see. Clearly David and Kim are the type of small business you want to support. I am now looking forward to actually making it there.
