Bring your home away from home and park up amongst the Paperbark trees and enjoy a relaxing and fun stay on our 5 acre hobby farm. (***IF YOU DO NOT HAVE YOUR OWN TOILET OR YOU WISH TO USE OURS WHILE ON THE FARM IT WILL INCUR AN EXTRA $10 PER NIGHT. PLEASE ADD THIS UNDER EXTRAS WHEN BOOKING***) Our property is located on River Heads Road which takes you to the barge to the largest sand island in the world, K’Gari Fraser Island. Paperbark Camp and Farm Stay is a perfect pit stop on your way to and from the Island or for a getaway from city life. The campground is located close to the road so you will hear passing cars traveling to and from River Heads. We have a large communal campfire ring set up, sticks from the paddock can be collected as kindling and firewood. Additional fire wood can be purchased and portable fire pits can also be requested for your own private fire at your site. Paperbark Camp and Farm Stay offers our guests the opportunity to pat and feed our animals during the farm walk and take a stroll thru our food forest and gardens upon request. You are also welcome to explore the camp area with our dam and lovely bush surrounds where you will find hidden treasures amongst the trees and camp ground. On our little farm, we have lots of quirky chickens (who lay the most delicious eggs), our beautiful horses, pet dogs, sheep, alpacas, pigs and miniature goats! Purchase local and fresh produce from 'The Hut' which is our located in the centre of our camp ground. You are only a very short drive from shops, beaches and attractions. The following shops are only 5kms away-Foodworks, Chemist Warehouse, Dentist ,Dr Surgery, Airport, BP Petrol Station, Bottle-Shop, Hairdressers. T Take a very short walk to the Pir'ri Reserve Walking Track where you can do a spot of bird watching or simply enjoy a stroll on the rustic bush tracks. Beautiful calm swimming beaches are only a 9km drive away. You may also like to visit our huge pier at Urangan, or take a walk along the bike path which stretches 17kms along the waterfront. You will also find a shopping centre with Woolworths in this area and other specialty shops (post office and retail). Plenty of takeaway available- KFC, McDonalds, Golden Chicken, River Heads Cafe for breakfast and lunch daily and pizza three nights a week and restaurants in the vicinity. River Heads where K’Gari Fraser Island barge leaves from is 7.5km from our camp and you are welcome to leave your vehicles parked up for a small fee. Families are very welcome however children must be fully supervised at all times as we do have a dam on the property. We do hope to meet you soon.Pitch your tent, park up your camper, RV or caravan amongst the paperbark trees and enjoy a restful and fun stay on our 5 acre hobby farm. Paperbark Camp & Farm Stay
What an amazing hipcamp! We had a fabulous 3 night stay here, our 4 kids had a great time and didn't want to leave! Michelle was wonderful, and took us on a tour of her gardens and farm when we arrived. I have never seen my kids so engaged! Her hospitality was better than a 5 star hotel, with her cooking meals for 2 of my kids on the first night and coffees to our vans in the morning. A must visit for anyone in the region!

Paperbark Camp & Farm Stay
Michelle was lovely and welcoming especially considering we booked and arrived at the last minute. She was still happy to show us around, accommodate us and offer to help if we needed anything. She had been using the fire pit that evening already so we had a burning fire to enjoy when we got there. The campsite was adorable and scenic and we loved seeing all the animals. Wish we could have stayed longer! Thank you again!

Michelle is absolutely lovely! The camp was so nice, many activities and farm animals to keep entertained. Michelle’s home cook dinner was the best. I couldn’t recommend this more as a place to stay!

10/10 camping
Stayed for a couple night and couldn’t have loved it more. Michelle was incredible and went above and beyond what was necessary to make our stay amazing. The farm walk was a bonus that added to the whole experience. Highly recommend Michelle’s spaghetti dinner as well:)

Great Camp and Farm Stay Experience
Lotsa room to camp and spread out at Paper bark Farm with level ground. Great to be able to have a campfire. Close to town and the hosts are so friendly and welcoming. The farm animals are fun to see and Michelle's knowledge of her property, animals and plants is second to none. Great experience.
