Come and stay at our beautiful 200 acre farm, surrounded by the Mulgrave River and only a 10 minute boat trip to the magnificent Russell Heads. There is high tide boat ramp access and your choice of river front camping areas. Perfect spot for fishing, birdwatching, crocodile spotting and relaxing in the outdoors (follow the Host's safety advice re crocs). We are around 30 minutes south of Cairns and there is plenty of great things to see in the surrounding region with national parks, beaches and waterfalls all nearby. Campers are required to be self sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste with them on departure. Campfires are welcome but please ensure they are kept contained and you respect any fire restrictions in place. Mulgrave River Camp
Only smalll annoyance was the length of the grass in the camp areas.

Mulgrave River Camp
Perfectly Picturesque
We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 nights at Mulgrave River Camp. The views over the River from our site were spectacular and everything around us was luscious and green. Chandell was a fabulous host, very informative and responsive. Our site was enormous, secluded and quiet - blissful away from the hustle and bustle. Regular visits from the sheep, access to water on the other side of the farm and we used their private boat ramp to put our tinny in too. It rained during our stay so the farm roads got a little muddy, but nothing our 4WD couldn’t handle. As with most River/farm stays, there were a few mossies. A bit of repellent and closed doors helped keep them at bay. We fished with bait from the banks and managed to catch mangrove jack, trevally and catfish, all decent sized and a lot of fun. We would definitely stay again and recommend it to anyone wanting a quiet escape in a picturesque location. Thanks for having us!

Mulgrave River Camp
Loved our stay.
Loved our stay. Hosts were very friendly and happy to answer all our questions about the surrounds and wildlife. Showed us pics of crocs they had spotted recently. Right on the river. Surrounded by farm animals. Very friendly pony. Saw dozens of hawks flying overhead when they were cutting the sugar cane. Saw heaps of fish and spotted a croc at night. Son slept for 15 hours. Must’ve been all that fresh country air, bike riding and pony patting.

Mulgrave River Camp
Camping at Mulgrave River Camp was very relaxing. Chandell was a wonderful host. Our site on the river bank had a great fire pit. Fish jumping in the river after dark was a welcome sound, will take a rod next time we go. Definitely recommend this great camp.
