Living close to Georgian Bay, I’ve always wanted a waterfront property and I always believed in my heart that I will be blessed with one someday. After our family’s first camping trip to Manitoulin Island, my husband and I fell in love with “Spirit Island” and decided to find our own special place. Around Thanksgiving weekend of 2019, after several trips back and viewing a dozen properties, our search for a land was finally over and our wish came true. God was and is indeed faithful and in His own sweet time, has blessed us with a beautiful land. It has been quite a journey and with God’s grace, our place has been such a Sweet Oasis! It is our hope and prayer that we can share our blessings of this land to everyone who loves nature and respect God’s awesome creations! 🙂💕This is nature at its best! Sweet Oasis is a private camping getaway. Our tranquil and serene campsite provides you with a beautiful waterfront view. We are an RV-only campsite (dry camping only). Forest, mature trees, birds and wildlife - all the fun of camping! Activities nearby include swimming, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, sun-basking, biking, hiking, playing badminton or volleyball, barbecues, campfires and little adventures. Relax, unwind, and create memories. Take snapshots. Experience perfect bliss. Commune with nature, calm your senses, soothe your soul and experience joy within you. Wake up to the chirping melodies of songbirds and Canadian geese honking their early morning greetings. Soak in the sunrise as it shines its splendid glory and lifts the mist up over the still blue waters. Hear the gentle rustle of leaves under the filtering sunlight. Lay down, take a nap, read a book and sip a drink under the canopy of trees with cool shade and breeze. Savour the moment. Appreciate the good life. Roast marshmallows. Share stories over a campfire. Sing, dance, laugh under the moonlight and starry night sky. End the day with gratitude in your ❤️ thankful, grateful, happy and blessed. The possibilities are endless and the memories are priceless. Absolutely stunning place!

Absolutely beautiful place, surrounded by nature and beautiful, clear water. The host was exceptionally kind and honest people. Highly recommended! We will for sure come back!

Sweet Oasis

Sweet Oasis was sweet!

Exactly as advertised. We parked our 19 ft travel camper right on the beach, with easy lake access for our kayaks. We set up our exercise tarp on the soft ground/grass in Liza’s yard above the beach. Groceries and spirits available a few miles up the road in in Manitowinig. We needed an oil change for our tow vehicle, and Humphrey’s team at Complete Auto & Marine in Manitowinig got us right in. Liza immediately answered any of our questions via texting while we were on site.

Sweet Oasis

Amazing stars.

Hello, we spent a total of 6 nights at this location and absolutely loved it. Being able to wake up in the morning to the lake and go fishing, although we caught nothing, is the best feeling and the stars at night we amazing. Great location to explore the island and see all the wonderful sites. Highly recommended.

Nightmare neighboor

Beautiful property, right on the lake. Very romantic. The really trouble is with the neighbours. They were upset at the Hipcamp host renting out their property, and ended up aiming a speaker at us, blasting heavy metal music on repeat at us. We did nothing wrong, behaved very quietly and did nothing to deserve this reaction. They claim the host is not allowed to rent out the property. Not sure what the deal is, but with the neighborhood not settling things, I’d definitely not recommend renting this spot. It is a very nightmarish situation.
