Secluded Waterfront Camping
Kind hosts, nice forest, a bit busy
We really enjoyed the forest area where we parked our trailer. We saw a few deer pass through, which was very beautiful. This was also an ideal spot that was close to Huntsville and other prime locations to visit (including Screaming Heads)! The shared dock offered great views, and if you paddled out past the lily pads, you'd definitely have the opportunity to swim in the lake.
We have a dog that's super dog reactive. This spot was not ideal for him, so we had to leave early to find something quieter so we could relax. We checked before booking about dogs, and the hosts said there isn't an issue with off leash dogs. Unfortunately, though, the neighbours had a large dog that frequented our site, and the hosts also have two large dogs. The site where you park/camp is roughly 60ft from the road (and the neighbours driveway) which means that you are open to visibility and do experience lots of cars, trucks, jeeps, walkers, atvs, dogs, and families passing by during the day.
This would be the ideal location for a sleep, a swim, and a launching off point for other "up north" adventures. We'd return, but not with our dog. The two hosts were incredibly kind and attentive, and we were very sorry we had to leave.

Secluded Waterfront Camping
We had such a great time at Julies. She was very accomadating. When we arrived she was happy to show us the way to the camp area with plenty of information about the area wich we found very helpful. She left us extra firewood as well. It was my husband and i along with our 4 children and dog. The kids had a blast foraging through the wooded areas along with paddling to the doc mid lake to jump and fish off of. My husband caught 2 pike and a beautiful large mouth bass. Great fishing spot. Lots to explore and extremely friendly neighbors. We tented 5 days a bit of rain and shine but made the most of it all. Wonderful area nice and private with wonderful people. We did feel it was private but you do have people going for walks just off camp along the road but no bother at all. Would definitely come back.

Great Spot
We had a great time on Julie's land! Our dogs had a blast swimming in the lake and we enjoyed swimming, canoeing, paddle boarding and fishing. Very private, the people we did run into were super friendly.
