Broderick Cabin

1 site · Lodging10 acres · New Liskeard, ON
This is a nice, quiet spot with a spacious back yard on a dead end street. Near the Blanche River, Bellevallee has a boat launch that can be used and is a cute little village area. Located very close to the Quebec border. This place has solar power and an outhouse, but there's no running water. There's one bedroom and a common room with a bunk bed and pull out couch. The river is just down the creek where there are plenty of walleye. Great place for a family of up to 6!

On your way to Elk Lake we are off of Hwy 65. We are a small homestead farm with a tiny house for our guests. We live on 40 acres surrounded by poplar and pine and some cedar forest and we have built hiking trails. Nearby activities are hiking around Temiskaming Shores and visiting Elk Lake for swimming or fishing. This land is special because we are trying to steward the land and have permaculture gardens.

The best camping near Pushkin Hills Provincial Park guide

Overview

About

Embark on a journey to Pushkin Hills Provincial Park, a unique nature reserve renowned for its volcanic rock formations. Traverse the hilly terrain and marvel at the well-preserved pumice stones that tell a tale of the earth's fiery past. While camping is not an option in this untouched natural enclave, the park offers a serene escape for day visitors seeking solace amid ancient geological wonders.

When to go

The best time to visit Pushkin Hills Provincial Park is during the warmer months, from late spring to early fall, when the snow has melted and the trails are accessible. Winter visits can be challenging due to heavy snowfall and limited access, making it less ideal for those unprepared for harsh conditions.

Know before you go

  • Check the Porcupine Health Unit for any health advisories before planning your visit.
  • Be aware that the park is a nature reserve with no visitor facilities; prepare to bring your own supplies.
  • Respect the natural habitat; camping and overnight stays are not permitted within the park.
  • For official park boundaries and regulations, consult Ontario's Crown Land Use Policy Atlas.
  • Accessibility services are available; contact the park in advance for any special requirements.
