This property is located in a small community of houses about 10 minutes to downtown Weaverville. There is a working pottery studio on the property where we make functional tableware and also teach lessons on the pottery wheel. Things you should bring: Pillow(s) and sleeping bag or full-sized sheet set + warm blankets appropriate for weather. Towels/washcloths. A bag of ice for the cooler. 1lb propane cylinder for stove. Food/drinks. Firewood for campfires. We provide organic dish soap and organic body soap for the solar shower (cool water). We provide the cookware, tableware, coffee cups, french press, salt/pepper, olive oil, drinking water (can be refilled), paper towels and recycling/trash can. The porta potty has toilet paper and hand sanitizer. There is a plug at the parking lot if you need to recharge any electric devices.

Camping at honey hut
The campsite is quite minimal and a great get away from the usual day to day. If you plan on using electronics bring portable chargers and socks because the lot down the hill is the only one where you can charge things. If you plan to go during the summer or spring I recommend bringing some sort of portable fan that doesn’t need to be plugged in as it got a little hot with no electricity or AC. The host, Kim, is friendly and the property is a cute little area centered around a pottery studio. Bring extra candles or lanterns as it gets very dark.

This place was so peaceful and amazing! Kim was fantastic at making us feel at home and recommending great hikes in the area! We had everything we needed with the cooking station! The solar shower was great as well! The portapotty was always clean. The view from the deck was so tranquil! We will absolutely be back! My golden retriever did not want to leave!

The Honey Hut
I loved this sweet little hit! Perfect for a couple days away with my dog. It rained one day so I was very happy to have a bed and shelter to lounge around in. Close to town and some lovely hikes. There are some neighbors around (heard some chainsaws and music) but it was not disruptive. The port-o-potty is clean, but is a bit of a walk. The camp stove works like a dream. All in all, it was a lovely and comfortable trip!

The Honey Hut
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Kim and Leigh were so friendly, and their dog Sam was very welcoming to our pup. The cabin was super clean and had everything we needed. We even tested out the outdoor solar shower ~ which was nice to rinse off the bug spray and campfire smoke before turning in. We woke up to the sunrise and birds chirping, very peaceful. If you're looking to relax and be in nature, this is the place! 11/10, would recommend.

The Honey Hut
Staying in the Honey Hut was a very nice experience. Kim really has thought of everything. PROS- -location (30 mins most to downtown Asheville) -Privacy -shower and bathroom available -Large COMFY bed -Fire pit and access to wood -all the essentials there ready for using CONS- -wouldn’t consider a con but it came as a bit of a surprise. The walk up from the parking lot to the honey hut is not suitable for handicap as it is quite steep! This hill is necessary however to get that sweet view. It also helped me burn off some of the calories I stuffed my face with in town!!
