Abundant Flora, Wild Fauna, Beautiful Untouched Landscapes, and a creek that will hydrate your soul. We are located on a country road with 5+ manicured campsites to pick from or choose your own adventure throughout the 50 acre forest if you want to explore. Beat the heat in the cool flowing creek that runs alongside an old world apple orchard. Not only is the incredible 5000 acre Shindagin Reserve within walking distance but it also contains miles of mountain bike trails you can literally get lost in. Theo's property is magical. Lots of flowers, a creek. Lovely places to just sit and relax. You'll be using a outhouse and no shower access but you honestly don't miss it. However, just plan accordingly. I would recommend Theos property to anyone that likes something in nature a bit off the beaten path. BTW there is a fabulous biking/hiking trail just 5 mins down the road off bush(I think) road.

What a gem!

Lions Gate is a beautiful well-maintained property! Theo is a wonderful host and was very helpful! Great secluded sites with fire pits along a babbling creek that will lull you to sleep. I will return next time I visit the area. Go check it out!

Took me by surprise

This place took me by surprise when I arrived. Other than being welcomed by baby deer with so much love and kisses (we all miss you), there are several campsites with table , chairs, fire pit and outhouses along with beautiful decorations, outside sink for water access. The listing needs to be updated with more pictures. The location is surrounded by mountains in a small town with few houses in distance , you will have your own privacy camping in all sites, and you're only 20 min to Ithaca Falls, Gorge trail and all the other beautiful waterfalls and places to hike or go downtown ithaca for shopping/brunch. Our host-Theo was very hospitable, lenient and accommodating in any of our request. It felt like a sense of a community and right at home. I had convinced my city friends to ditch the state park campground and come to this site and they were very hesitant in the beginning but now they want to bring their other friends to the site again. Anyone contemplating should just book it, you won't regret.

A true hidden gem in Ithaca

Dragonwood was a hidden gem!! Great place to camp without being surrounded by the flow of tourists that come through Ithaca. Beautiful piece of land and Theo was a genuine and kind host. Hopefully will be back in the near future :)
