Tweed Valley Whey Farmhouse Cheeses is a small 100% Australian owned artisan dairy business. Family owned and operated, we run the 100+ head dairy herd which will supply the A grade quality milk for the gourmet cheeses.  The Dairy farm is located in the Burringbar Valley, just north of Byron Bay. Burringbar is situated at the entranceway to the Tweed which is also known as the Heartland of Australia's Green Cauldron. The sub-tropical climate allows for lush pasture to be grown all year round. Our pasture based grazing system means you taste the freshness in the milk which flows into the flavours of the local territory in the artisan cheeses. Aside from our 4th generation dairy farm and artisan cheese factorym, we also run a licensed cafe. No tents - RVs/caravans and camper trailers only. We offer several grassy sites on our property, situated in the lush green pastures of the Tweed Valley. We have a retail outlet onsite. Come and order a coffee, cheese platter, wine and local products to enjoy at your site! We're a great place for those travellers looking for a convenient stopover, in a beautiful setting, with nice additional touches.  We're close to National Parks, Murwillumbah Arts Precinct, Margaret Olley Art Gallery and Husk Distillery and just 20 mins drive to access the coast from Kingscliff to Byron Bay. We have a toilet on site. Your well-behaved pets welcome too but must be kept on a lead. No tents - RVs/caravans and camper trailers only. Highly recommend :)
Really lovely place to stay, and even better cheese board! Peter and his wife were very kind, it was an extremely hot night and they gave us some power for our AC which was a life saver.

Beautiful campsite with nearby access to a wide range of dairy produce (including gelato and cheeses) that is made onsite.

Tweed Valley Farmhouse Cheeses
Highly recommend
From the booking process to the moment we left, it was smooth sailing with friendly people. I was travelling alone with my two children and this was the perfect place to pull up our van overnight. We felt safe, the toilets were handy and in the morning we woke up to the cows and the beautiful scenery. We will come back!

Fantastic relaxed camping with delicious gelato and coffee. Also was lovely to enjoy an afternoon of wine and cheese with a view of the cows.

Tweed Valley Farmhouse Cheeses
The hosts were super friendly, sites had plenty of room and a great view of the land over the dairy. Toilets were clean and close to the campsites. Great spot for an overnight stay, fine for a longer but there are no showers. Would stay again if I was in the area.

Misleading but ok for a ovenighter
Whilst the ad mentions 200acres, the “several grassy spots” are located behind the shop just off the local road. Besides the car noise, the cool room compressors going all night and the unmowed grass, there are lots of stars at night! This hipcamp would be good for a quick and easy overnighter if you’re doing the rail trail, but I wouldn’t plan on spending days there with a group or kids. Not quite the farm experience the ad makes out to be. Otherwise the hosts were friendly and amenities well kept.
