Tranquil and convenient
Leanne was very helpful. Her property is beautiful -- a peaceful place to spend a weekend! The prawns she offered were fresh and added a note of luxury to the whole thing. Highly recommend!

The campsite is lovely and scenic. The surrounding area is very pretty and the drive up on the country lane is very scenic. We saw lots of different bird life and I love the fact that the campsite was pet friendly so we could bring our dogs along. The paddock is very private and fenced off as well. The only downside was the unexpected noise. There was a constant industrial-like drone that was fairly loud and distracting from the sounds of nature and birdsong. The droning noise was constant day and night, and seemed louder at night so it was hard to try and fall asleep, it would intermittently get louder and then quieter again. Leanna was very helpful and responded quickly to any messages, and her instructions on how to find the campsite were useful and effective as well. We didn’t have time to explore the bushwalks nearby but we did visit Joadja Distillery (a 25 minute drive). The distillery is definitely worth a visit with free tastings and tours, and they are also pet friendly and very welcoming.

Already planning our next stay!
Great property to camp at! Leanne is friendly, responsive and really helpful with any questions. The lookout to the gorge is only a short walk from the campsites with a breath-taking view. The iron chair at the lookout is a really sweet touch. The rooster and the peacocks/ hens are a welcoming sound in the morning amongst the wind blowing through the trees. Leanne was great with recommending local attractions - the historic township of Joadja and the distillery being one of them. If you're lucky enough, you'll also get t meet Arlo and Piper, the resident doggos on your stay. On your way in, stop and say hi to the donkey and charismatic alpaca!

This was a convenient place to stay for checking out the local area. We enjoyed a walk down through the bush at the back of the property - just be prepared as there’s a lot of scrub. We also did a tour of the Joadja Distillery and old town which I would recommend.
