Elouera Vale is a working farm located just outside Mittagong NSW. We breed and train camels for sale, especially into the Southern Highlands. Camels are excellent for weed control and co-grazing with cattle. 'Elouera Vale' also breeds Belted Galloway cattle, Dorper and Wiltipol sheep and donkeys. Our property covers over 140 acres, 80 acres cleared and pasture improved and the rest consisting of forest. The Chain O Ponds creek runs through the property and makes for a lovely walk. You will probably get to see kangaroo, wallaby, wombats, echidnas, koalas and lots of bird life. The lush green hills abound with walking and cycling trails. You can head to the spectacular Nattai Gorge via the Box Vale Mine walking track, an easy 4.4km circular walk that follows an old railway line through a tunnel to breath-taking views. Enjoy a picnic in the magnificent Lake Alexandra Reserve or hike up extinct volcanic peak Mount Gibraltar. The closest shops are approximately a 15 minute drive to the Mittagong Town Centre where you will find all the shops, cafes and restaurants for your needs. It is well worth a visit to ‘The Shaggy Cow’ cafe, one of our favourite foodie spots (don’t forget to mention Elouera Vale). While you're here please try the Cool Climate wines. The region’s rich soil and high altitude are ideal for cool-climate wine growing. Visit cellar doors in the hills and valleys around Mittagong, including Centennial Vineyards. Enjoy a pleasant wine tasting experience at Centennial (don’t forget to mention us). The Camel Cottage offers a luxe off-the-grid escape for couples just one hour from Sydney but feels like "miles from anywhere". Tomerong Forest

15 sites · RVs, Tents600 acres · Falls Creek, NSW
At Tomerong Forest, you'll find 600 acres of private native forest with an abundance of wildlife, welcoming self-contained campers to immerse themselves in nature. You'll be camped just 15 minutes drive from Huskisson, Hyamms Beach, and St George's Basin - a great location if you want laid-back bush camping, but also crave a restaurant meal and a swim in the beautiful waters of Jervis Bay. It is isolated from the overcrowded tourist parks and offers great secluded camping. At the right time, you will literally not see another human for days if that is your wish! At the current moment, a 4WD is essential to access the property. All campers must be self-contained, with their own camp toilet, and take all waste when they go. So if you are tired of that 6 metre x 6 metre tent site and don't want to hear the guy next door coughing and snoring, or if you just want to only hear the sound of the breeze through the trees, come and stay a few days or a week or longer if you wish. Seclusion this accessible from Sydney is a rare commodity. Pets are welcome, but please keep them under control as we value the wildlife. Sorry, no cats for that particular reason.

Hillside Bush Getaway

25 sites · RVs, TentsFalls Creek, NSW
Situated on 40 acres of natural bushland with an abundance of wildlife and birds. We are located an easy 15 minute drive from the stunning South Coast beaches, Huskisson and of Jervis Bay, and 10 minutes south of Nowra. I've done lots of caravanning myself and always loved a place like this to spend a few nights. It's quiet, safe to leave your van here and go out in the day and explore the area. It's the perfect base to explore the Jervis Bay area, there is lots to see and do...or you may decide to do nothing but sit around, relax and take in the peaceful surrounds. We don't offer any amenities so our place suits campers who have their own toilet and shower and leave no trace. Leave the site as you found it. Grey water okay to go on the ground. Dog friendly, please keep them on the lead and well controlled. Campfires permitted when restrictions aren't in place, wood around for you to gather your own. The road is sealed all the way to front gate. After the gate is fairly smooth unsealed. IMPORTANT! Directions to my place are a bit tricky so check MY TRIPS in your profile once your booking is confirmed.

Berry & Beach

9 sites · Tents7 acres · Far Meadow, NSW
Amazing location so close to everything the beautiful Shoalhaven has to offer: beaches, wineries, hiking, kayaking, and more! A 5-minute drive to beautiful Berry town, 5-minute drive to Seven Mile Beach/Shoalhaven Heads (with an amazing off-leash dog area), and 15 minutes to Gerroa/Gerringong. 25-minute drive to Kangaroo Valley. 45-minute drive to Jervis Bay. Lovely forested area adjacent to our house, on acreage with views over paddocks and Coolangatta Mountain (Cullunghutti) in the distance. At the moment we have sheep and a couple of miniature horses!  We purposefully only allow a few tents / limited numbers to keep things quiet and peaceful. Please note that although the suggested camp area is adjacent to our house, there are trees in between and we will be sure to respect your peace and privacy. Each booking/site is for one tent only. PLEASE NOTE: the site is not suitable for campervans, caravans, roof tents or RVs. There is a luxury shared bathroom/shower (please do not flush anything other than toilet paper). There are two designated campfire spots, one is communal with some seating and one more private (first in best dressed!). There is generally kindling around but you will need to bring your own big bits of wood. No other fires are permitted. We request that everyone keeps the noise down / no amplified music after 10pm. (Before 10pm, please make sure your music isn't interfering with the ambience of other campers). This isn't a party place and people come to relax, enjoy nature and a bit of peace and quiet. Our preference is for cars to park in the carpark area to keep the views and vibes nice for everyone. The camp area is only a short 30 second walk to where you can set up your tent. It is fine to unload if you have access (i.e. no tents already in the way) but then please promptly park your car back in carpark. All rubbish/recycling to be taken with you. Please read the rules of the property. Dogs are allowed off leash if well behaved and will stay in the vicinity of your tent. They are not to disturb other campers, otherwise they need to be restrained at all times. Dog poo to be picked up immediately. Please also be aware that this is a farm with fenced dams and inherent risks. While children regularly stay without issues, it's important to remain cautious and mindful of these risks. Fire safety: Do -Ensure fires are currently allowed -Check to see if fires are currently prohibited for any reason. -Sparks can fly! Make sure they stay away from dry brush and that your fire is contained. -Fully extinguish the fire with water. Use water until the hissing stops, and feel a few inches above the ashes to make sure they are cool. (There is a tap / bucket in the corner, and a shovel generally around - ask if you cant find any of these things). Don’t -Leave the fire unattended. A gust of wind could cause your fire to get out of control. Being attentive is key! -Use flammable liquids. Lighter fluid can cause a fire to dangerously flare up and get out of hand. -Build a large fire. Your fire should always be under control and easy to extinguish at any time. Thanks for being careful. Enjoy!
