Full privacy with only one group per secluded site. Spacious level grassy campsites on the Towamba (Kiah) River, a pristine estuary that runs into Twofold Bay. 10 minutes on bitumen south of Eden and close to many of the Sapphire Coast's stunning coastline, National Parks and attractions. Site #1 (near) Boatramp has NO facilities so you must be self-contained. Site #2 Main Site offers a composting toilet. Both sites have access to fresh water and are suitable for caravans as well as tents. We are not and never will be a 'caravan park' - your group will have exclusive use of the campsite. Each are far from each other, both are right near to - or very close to - the river. Our guests love the tranquility and not having to share! Fish the river for flathead or bream and enjoy it for dinner by the campfire. Bring your kayak or SUP or just enjoy a swim in the clear sandy-bottom river. Once your booking request has been confirmed, let us know if you need more specific directions so you can find us easily. Well behaved (spoilt) dogs okay but please no hunting type dogs. Both sites have access to separate taps for fresh drinking water. Firewood can be collected from the property or supplied at a small fee (you can book this when you book your site). Feel free to collect your own kindling - plenty around). Good mobile reception on the Telstra network. PLEASE NOTE: the property is currently listed for sale. We are happy to take forward bookings with this understanding and will contact all booked parties well in advance if we sell. The market is very slow so we do not expect a fast sale and will ask for a long settlement so please still book :)

This is our premium - powered - site and perfect for larger groups, especially in the warmer months. Families LOVE this site - many bring grandparents, parents and kids - and a few mates as well. It's a huge, private, level grassed area with private access to the river. Get back to nature but be close to town at the same time.  Exclusive use of composting toilet uphill from the campsite. Drinking water and 240v power provided.  Minimum group size: 2 people (NB: Minimum group size during January or Easter holidays is 6 people). Maximum group size: 20 (large groups can stay 7 nights max - please discuss with us :). If you want to book a larger group or stay longer, please enquire to discuss your needs.  CHILD PRICING: The system offers child pricing but set the age limit to 13 years so IF YOU HAVE KIDS 13-16 years, STILL BOOK THEM AS CHILDREN. We believe child pricing should cover kids up to age 16. Remember - kids under 5 years are FREE. A few things: Christmas and Easter school holidays are our chance to make up for the quiet times so if you are a very small group, we may ask if you can share this HUGE site with another small group. We hope you won't mind us asking you to share. Attn: LOCALS - PLEASE - if you've invited friends for a day visit, LET US KNOW in advance or we will assume they are trespassers and ask them to leave. Your security, the security of our other guests - and ours - matters so please respect this.  Firewood can be collected on site or supplied for a fee (best to order this when you're booking your site). Dogs are permitted but not all are suited, so talk to us if you want to bring your dog.  We pride ourselves on keeping our section of river clean so PLEASE keep plastics to a minimum, don't leave bait bags near the water and pick up after yourselves. This place is nice and quiet and we (and our surrounding neighbours) love the sounds of nature so PLEASE NO jet skis, motorbikes or fast powerboats. And please don't clean fish anywhere near the campsite or boat ramp - it can be done across the river and waste disposed of accordingly. Thank you.

This site offers a lovely level site very close to the boat ramp (approx 15 metres), with access to a beautiful private area across the creek on a small walking bridge. You can unload your kayaks/canoes etc. at the boatramp before you set up - and you can leave them near the water tap overnight if needed. NB: you MUST have your own chemical toilet to book this site. If you do not have your own toilet you CANNOT use the facility on our other site as we offer exclusive use. We take this seriously so please don't try to 'sneak'! Camping right at the boatramps is forbidden - for your security and privacy - as access to the water for both sites is here. Feel free to sit by the firepit at the boatramp and relax (or fish) if you wish. You can park up to 2 caravans or camper trailers OR set up tents across the bridge - or both!  The site has a firepit on each section (see images for exact position). Minimum group size: single person, maximum: 8 CHILD PRICING: The system has child pricing but set the age limit to 13 years so IF YOU HAVE KIDS 13-16 years, STILL BOOK THEM AS CHILDREN. We allow child pricing for kids up to age 16. Remember - kids under 5 years are FREE. Access to the river 20 metres from "this" side or down some steps from the site across the creek. What a beautifully maintained property. The lush green grass, wide open space, and abundance of wildlife made it such a peaceful and relaxing place to stay, the dogs had a ball. We absolutely loved our time at Arthur and Jenny’s property.

Kiah Wilderness Retreat was fantastic. Arthur and Jenny were wonderful hosts. The space between sites meant we felt like we were the only ones there. Lots of room for our fur baby to run around. A great place to relax

A great site, private, grassy and flat with a fire pit already stocked. Easy access to the river for swimming. Easy reach to Eden and beyond so it makes a great touring base. Very welcoming hosts, met us at the entrance to the property and guided us directly to the site. Recommended.

Fantastic place to camp, swim and relax. Everything we needed - power, water, and the cleanest, nicest compost toilet we have ever seen! Jenny and Arthur obviously know what they’re doing and are very helpful if needed. Highly recommended.

Really nice spot kept beautifully. Felt like we were camped on a nice lawn not a paddock. Easy access to river which kids loved. Host was nice and helpful. Only unfortunate thing for us was, I’m assuming due to the massive rains the week before we arrived. The mosquitoes were insane at times. Other than that would definitely visit again.

We had a great time at Kiah Wilderness camp! The campsite was super spacious, and full of wildlife. Our kids had a great time spotting lots of animals around the site, and the river was the highlight. We used our inflatable boat to get across to the sandy bank and spent hours playing in the water and exploring the river bank. We had quite a few mozzies, but think that was more due to recent rain. A great campsite if you want large and private, great for groups. Thanks Jenny and Arthur!

Camping at Kiah Wilderness Camp was total rest & relaxation. Beautiful Towamba River on your doorstep - perfect for swimming, kayaking & fishing. The grounds are grassy & flat with an abundance of wildlife. Only a short drive to Boydtown beach & Eden. Would definitely recommend.

Amazing location, peaceful and so well maintained by Jenny and Arthur.. lovely hosts. Would stay there again in a heartbeat. Once we cracked the code of the fishing in the river we caught plenty of trevally and bream. The kids and the dog had a magic time.

Jenny and Arthur were great hosts, who made sure we were settled in with enough firewood to keep us going. We had a lovely grassy area to camp on all to ourselves over the New Year period and it was so private and peaceful. We brought our SUPs with us which came in handy as we were able to paddle across to the sandbar from the boat ramp (an easy swim) which was a great place to set up for the afternoon. Sightings of the resident wombats and deer was an added bonus.

Jenny & Arthur’s place is heaven on earth. So serene. Immaculate camp grounds on a beautiful river. Amazing bird life. Nice clean toilet. Ours dogs had a blast. I really wish we booked a longer stay. Such lovely hosts too. We will be back. :)

We absolutely loved camping with Jenny and Arthur. Arthur met us on the highway and escorted us to our site. The site was huge and level with mown green grass. For a small additional price, you can access potable water and power, which we did not need on our weekend trip, but is great for those planning a longer stay. The river ran up to the site. Unfortunately, the weather was too cold for swimming, but the water looked inviting. The toilet was a long drop, but it was immaculate, with tap water for washing your hands. The wildlife was diverse, and spotting the different birds and animals was a fun activity. I would thoroughly recommend Kiah Wilderness Camp.

Our stay at Kiah Wilderness was wonderful - kids have rated it a 10/10 campsite and we agree! It was lovely swimming in the river and relaxing in Jenny and Arthur’s little slice of paradise. The compost toilet also deserves a mention, wish more campsites had one!

What a beautiful spot. Weather could have been better but it didn't rain. The hosts were lovely. I would recommend this spot to anyone who enjoys the tranquility and peace and quiet. Not far out of Eden and other small places to visit. A perfect spot.🌞

We had a great level camp for our camper trailer. The grass was better than my lawn at home. It was a vast open site with the forest on either side and creek running through to the beautiful river beyond. A Fire pit with plenty of good firewood within reach. Wombats and birds a plenty. Jenny and Arthur were great hosts with Arthur meeting us at the gate on arrival. Would highly recommend at least a two day stopover.
