Our Hopkins Heights Bus is perched high on a hill on our 44 acre property in the North of the Tweed Valley looking out to the north over the McPherson Range. The Tweed Valley, effectively a caldera, was formed from the now extinct volcano of Mount Warning. Traditionally known by the first nations Bunjalung people as Wollumbin. The Tweed Valley is blessed with art galleries, beautiful beaches, rainforests, great food, waterfalls, hiking trails, tranquil villages and the list goes on or you can just stay on our farm and enjoy the peace and quiet with the cows and chooks. Our closest village is Chillingham, about a 10 minute drive, which has a general store for all your basic supplies (food, fuel, bottle shop) and the famous Banana Cabana fruit shop. Murwillumbah is around a 30 minute drive. You will be staying in a renovated old school bus.It is completely off grid with solar 240 volt power, gas hot water/ stove and gravity feed rainwater. It has a king size bed with linen provided, shower, kitchen, bar fridge and microwave. The Bus site is up a steep all weather gravel road for the last 300 meters so only accessible by 4x4/ All Wheel Drive vehicles. We are happy to assist with transport for luggage/groceries etc in our AWD but if you wanted to come and go it would be a short walk to your vehicle. Our old farm shed is nearby which can be used to stretch out although it does leak a bit in heavy rain so you will have to pick your spot. There is a flushing toilet in the shed using dam water.Firewood is provided for a small camp fire.

Highly Recommend for a relaxing night away with a stunning view! Adrian was super friendly and accommodating and happy to help out! You don’t need to bring much as the bus has everything covered ( card games, bug spray, milk, eggs, shampoo conditioner and so much more. Loved cooking in the Bus with the fresh herbs from the garden, being able to listen to music with the speaker provided and hand feeding the cows in the morning! Thanks Heaps!

Ahhhmazing
Oh my goodness, such a beautiful spot. Pictures can't do it justice! We had everything we needed, running water, hot water, electricity, firepit and fire wood. Coffee, ice in the freezer. Adrian and co, have thought of everything. The view, the mountains, forever changing, with clouds, mist, sun hitting at different angles. So very beautiful. Lots of nearby beautiful places to explore. Can't wait to come back.

We loved our stay on the bus! The views of the clouds passing over the mountain ranges are spectacular especially at sunrise. The bus is well equipped and it was so comfortable and homey. It was so nice to have some fresh herbs from the garden bed to use for our meals too. Thank you Adrian, Lesley and Mihaiela for hosting us.

pure magic
this place was absolutely magical. from the time we booked, the host Adrian was so accommodating and friendly. when we arrived, we were greeted by all of the cows who we fed. Adrian kindly drove us up to the bus as our car wouldn’t have made it. The bus itself is so well done with everything you could possibly want or need with even extra touches like marshmallows for the fire, fresh eggs, avocado and banana grown locally. we spent the night around the fire and the cows came up too. the bed is very comfortable, we had a great nights sleep. Overall, we couldn’t recommend this places anymore. it’s perfect

The owner Adrian is so friendly. We love the place well maintained, clean and tidy. Whatever we need, everythings was there. We brought our camping stuffs just in case, but that has been made bad fuel efficiency my stupid 4x4. Just take your foods that's it. We have a plan to visit again when weather cool down.

Such a good fit out on the bus, so comfortable with everything you need for cooking and an amazing bed and shower! Great views and adorable cows! Adrian is super welcoming and friendly, great advice on the local swimming spots too. Highly recommend Cuchey creek about a 5 minute drive away! Thanks for everything, will definitely be recommending!
