Come and enjoy this grassy campsite located on the outskirts of Canowindra. Canowindra is known as the Hotair Balloon Capital of Australia, most mornings you wake to find a balloon floating in the sky. Venture to the Main Street and see the historic building’s. Canowindra is also home of the Fish Fossil Museum, so much to explore. Campers are welcome to enjoy a campfire, local regulations permitting. Canowindra Country Camp
Owners super friendly. Lovely quiet spot, close to town but far enough away to be in the country. Animals super friendly and great around kids. Toilet is clever and super clean and tidy. Big fire pit great for a group. Owner offered wood for the pit. Couldn’t ask for more and amazing value!

Canowindra Country Camp
Disappointing experience.
We were left with this venue as a last choice due to the balloon festival. Unfortately we had to leave after one night into a three night stay due to battery problems with our van so didn't get to meet our host. The site doesn't look anything like the photos on line with junk all around the place and the toilet is a pretty scruffy affair. If you are happy to listen to the farmed greyhounds yapping day and night then I guess you would like this venue. There are no defined sites and the slope requires a fair bit of levelling. When you compare the price of this venue to the showground and Council Park, both with full powered sites, water and shower/toilet blocks it is chalk and cheese. I doubt we would go back. Attention to cleaning up the mess, painting the very rudimentary toilet in a gas bottle and provision of level sites away from the over grown grass around the dam, you might get some return business

Canowindra Country Camp
Great little place.
We stayed two nights. Kids loved the animals. If we go out that way again will stay there for sure . This place is lovely and small so not heaps busy like a normal caravan park which was great. Super close to showground like 3kms. So got to see hot air balloons flying over in the morning. Owners were lovely we arrived late, they were very helpful and came out to help us. Thanks guys.

Canowindra Country Camp
Balloons, cow, llamas and more
Nice and close to Canowindra, without having to stay in the town. Excellent price. Pretty flat sites and easy to find a spot that suits. The toilet is super cool (you'll have to see it to understand), clean and tidy. The provided fire pits are wonderful and free wood- how generous. The resident cow, llamas and miniature horse all added to the wonderful stay. The only drawback was the dogs that barked a lot and into the night. Perfect balloon spotting location too!
