Paw Paws Tent or Camper Camping
Lovely river campsite.
I loved tent camping at Paw Paw’s campground. This place has a beautiful river view, that you can swim in if it’s not just poured rain, a tether ball, a portapotty, all the wood you want to burn, a tall fire ring with a separate cooking fire ring next to it (with a kettle on top ready to heat your water), a table with chairs, several swings, a large hammock, a dog run with a pulley, and logs and extra chairs to sit in around the campfire. Just bring your tent and stove and water. Or cook over their fire pit. There is an old fashioned water pump with potable water, was great for hand washing, but had a slight odor so I wouldn’t drink it. Although, they did offer to fill our water containers at the house if we didn’t want to use the well water. This place is what you always hope for in a campsite. Beautiful, shady, well loved and maintained.

The perfect site
Our family enjoyed this place , the river just a few steps away from the camp site, the privacy and the beautiful views make this place so unique. Enough tables and chairs for everyone, the boys enjoyed swimming at the river. The host is great! Just a perfect place!

Have to stay with Paw Paw!!!
Paw Paws is an amazing haven tucked back in huge cottonwoods along the river. Private and quiet, great for a trip with your dog, just mind your pet and clean up after. Paw paw provides everything you could need for a comfortable visit, clean facilities, clean water, plenty of firewood and the Hammock puts you a million miles away as you get lost in the tangles of cottonwood above you and stars smiling down. I know I will be coming back that way and staying again. Thank you Paw Paw for your amazing hospitality and pleasant conversations.

Wonderful camping spot!!
I camped at this wonderful spot during a road trip with my husband and his father. Although we found this location at the last minute, we were pleasingly surprised by the beauty, tranquility, and privacy of this hidden gem! Lino was attentive and kind when we arrived in the evening, he devoted a good part of his time to giving us an instructive guided tour and clear explanations to accommodate. The place is wild, beautiful, and very private since Lino makes sure that you are the only one occupying this place. On top of that, he has creatively and effectively decorated the place with cool little details such as cute benches where you can enjoy beautiful views of the river, insect repellent torches, ground garden lights, an outdoor table, tree trunk benches to sit around the fire, a very nice fire pit-grill, plenty of free woods for the fire, a tree swing, and a twin hammock. Last but not least, there is a water pump that delivers fresh spring water to the surface, very nice and useful! We also had a nice surprise when Lino brought us delicious apricots from his garden in the morning. This place is also conveniently located within minutes from the Aztec ruins, a must-place to visit! In summary, Lino is a great host and this place makes true justice to HIPCAMP's concept!! Giuliana from Venezuela & Stephan and Gerald from Belgium

We would highly recommend this place! Our host was super friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The site was set up beautifully. My kids loved playing in the river and laying in the hammock. They didn’t want to leave when it was time to move on and begged to stay longer. If we lived closer, we would go there all the time!
