Highly recommended!
You do not want to miss an opportunity to stay here! Staying “top side” of the missile silo and bunker was an amazing experience! You are pretty much out in the middle of nowhere, under the stars, and enjoying the outdoors, yet just a few feet away and many feet down is an underground missile silo and bunker! Raul gave an excellent underground tour of the facility and I also had a chance to meet and talk to Gary. A great, once in a lifetime experience!

Cold War camping
What a unique camping experience! Raul gave a great tour, which included the underground launch control capsule (now and Airbnb) and the actual missile silo (you stand on a platform about 40 feet below the surface and 140 feet above the bottom of the silo). A lot of work has been put into preserving the facility. If you don’t get claustrophobic and aren’t afraid of heights, this is a really great way to experience Cold War history.

Spectacular!
This was a ONCE IN A LIFETIME experience!! We camped the first night and had a fire in the desert - such beautiful stars! Raul was an EXCELLENT tour guide, leading us through every aspect of the land and the silo (even the Owl!) and we learned so much walking down into this piece of American history! We also got to meet Gary who was so very nice and welcoming! The second night we actually stayed INSIDE the silo — WHAT AN EXPERIENCE!! A true part of history! The accommodations are top notch… don’t wait or second guess. If you are in the Roswell, NM area, make sure to book a trip at the silo! It’s worth it!!

This was a very cool experience! The tour was fun, and the remote camping experience was even better.

A True Cold War Relic..Missile Silo
What an amazing stay! Our tour with Raul was fascinating, peeking into the history of the Atlas silos and experiencing some of what living and working in a silo bunker in the 60s would be like, and gaping at the sheer scale of the silo .. our kids loved it but the grownups liked it even more!! A lovely visit and strongly recommend!
