Established in 2004, we are an 87 acre ATFS certified Tree Farm located in the Blue Hills Range in the Foothills to NH’s White Mountains. Choose from one of three unique sites to best fit your camping needs. Book a combination of sites to reserve more or all of the property for your group. We also specialize in hosting custom outdoor events/retreats. Reach out prior to booking if you are interested in utilizing the property for your function and we’d be happy to work with you. Our Farm spans the northerly side of Hussey Mountain from the base to the summit. Guests are provided with private access to several miles of multi-use nature trails, multiple scenic lookouts, a three acre PYO blueberry maze, a dock on our private eight acre pond with available boat rentals. On weekends, access to our abutting partner farm for educational tours, fresh organic produce, or plan an evening to have us host your group for private dinners/functions in our outdoor dining area surrounded by botanical gardens. At the common area located at the base of the mountain in (Parking A) guests are provided with a portable toilet, outdoor shower, garden hose for washing, a power strip for charging devices, spigot with potable water for filling containers, and mini basketballs/hoop for the kids. Things to do on the mountain SPRING-FALL include... Hiking on several miles of maintained nature trails marked with clear signage for easy day/night navigation. Relaxing/taking in the scenery from several scenic lookouts located on and around the mountain’s summit; combined they provide a 360-degree view spanning from the NH/ME Seacoast to the White Mountains of NH, to the Green Mountains of VT. Fishing, paddling, swimming, or relaxing on our dock. Bird/wildlife watching, berry picking, stargazing and leaf peeping. This is a place you can easily spend a few days and keep busy! That said, if you’re looking to venture off-mountain and explore we’re in a great area to do that. We’re located only 7 minutes off Exit 14, NH Route 16 N. Places to visit nearby include... Baxter lake (public access) 5 minutes south. Portsmouth 25 minutes south. Lake Winnipesaukee 20 minutes north. Gunstock mountain resort 25 minutes north. NH’s White Mountains 40 minutes north. Conway 1 hour north. Things to do on the mountain in WINTER include... We offer the only private ski area in New England accessed by either uphill travel or snowmobile lift service. With snow, our unique network of forestry trails and glades are transformed into downhill ski/snowboard runs, snowshoe routes, and fatbike trails. (Site 1 Base Camp) becomes ski-in, ski-out and is our only available site during ski season. Booking Base Camp provides our guests with exclusive private access to the mountain and all of the ski/snowboard/snowshoe/fatbike terrain via groomed uphill routes; one of which begins right out of the campsite.

We had enjoyed having him and his yurt on our land so when he left, It left a virtual and metaphorical hole. A couple years later we had an opportunity to purchase a yurt from an outdoor adventure company and so it began. We improved upon our tenant's idea by adding a proper outhouse and outdoor shower area. The space offered us a quiet haven during hectic times and now we are ready to share that opportunity. Our yurt sits on a quiet and private nook on our 7 acre property. We are right in between Kennebunk and Biddeford so there are quite a number of areas to explore if you make us your home base. It is a lovely 6 mile ride to Goose Rocks Beach or you can spend an afternoon walking around Dock's Square in Kennebunkport. Biddeford is a rapidly rebuilding mill town that has made several high profile food and travel publications for its great dining spots. If you are visiting to get away from the city, we are less than a mile away from the Eastern Trail which connects South Portland to Kittery, ME. Bring a bike or plan a quiet walk. Cabins have basic cots, and compost toilets will be available for campers’ use. Access to garden and lots of sun You can have a fire 🔥 in the fire pit, there is also access to drinking water and plenty of sun to hang your solar water bags for a shower. I have an organic garden which you may also pick greens 🥬 for a meal. We look forward to hosting you! One dog per site is allowed, provided they are leashed.

Large camping spot on the edge of a 125-acre farm with sunny or shaded place to set up camp. Guests are welcome to walk or hike around the property. There are open fields and some rough hiking trails (wear good shoes!) Small stream runs through the property and there are wild turkeys, deer and other wildlife about. This is a rustic site with picnic table, fire ring and chemical toilet. Not glamping for sure, but pretty and peaceful. Plenty of room to pull in a pop-up or camper. Convenient to most locations in Southern Maine and NH. Located near the center of town, there are stores and restaurants within a 5-minute drive. Excellent location to be away from tourist areas but close enough to visit -Beaches 20-30 minutes, RT 95-15 mins, Portland 45; Portsmouth-45 mins, Kittery Outlets -30 mins. White Mountains 1 hour 30 mins.

Souhegan Shores

SPRING '24 NOTE: The late snow and heavy traffic have played havoc with the access road. Please do NOT book the site from our driveway if you don't have 4WD. Best to check first with your host to ensure the access road is passable to your type of vehicle. (back to our regularly scheduled camp description...) Camp alongside the tree lined bank of the Souhegan River. Fall to sleep to the sound of river flowing over the rocks up stream. In season, enjoy the swimming hole 100 feet from your campsite. Site-1 is located under the trees adjacent to a 3 acre meadow and Christmas Tree farm. Camp above the bank of the Souhegan River in the shade of white pine and shag bark hickory and listen to the river tumble over the ledges upstream. In season, enjoy the swimming hole 100 feet from your campsite. On the other side of the fence is a pasture where two horses graze. If you don't like friendly dogs then you'll be better off on site 2 where we can better keep our dog Wilson from dropping in to visit. He loves people too much not to want to greet folks on Site 1. Site-2 is located at the downstream end of the property and is completely private. You'll see nothing from your site but trees and the river. If you or your dog don't like dogs, this is the site you want. It's far easier to keep Wilson away from this corner of the property. The other side of the river is town conservation land so the only people you're likely to see will be passing by in canoes or kayaks. In the dry season, this is a great place to start a float trip and you'll likely have the next 1.5 miles all to yourself since the rapids upstream become unpassable in late July and August. Now that TENTRR has gone bankrupt, Site 2 is available year round. If NH gets clobbered by snow, just check ahead to ensure your host has finished plowing the access road.

Overview

The little southeastern New Hampshire town of Milton is located within easy reach of some of the state’s best attractions. The town is close to the Lakes Region, one of the greatest jewels of the northeast, as well as the White Mountains and charming towns such as Hanover. If your travel plans take you to Millton, you’ll find plenty of nearby outdoor adventures, from swimming and paddling to hiking and climbing.

Where to go

Lakes Region

New Hampshire’s Lakes Region is home to such gems as Lake Winnipesaukee (the state’s largest lake), Squam Lake, Newfound Lake, Ossipee Lake, and Lake Sunapee, all of which offer activities from boating and waterskiing in the summer to ice fishing in the winter. Ellacoya State Park on the southwest shore of Lake Winnipesaukee has a campground for RVs and trailers.

Pawtuckaway Lake

Under an hour south of Milton, the 803-acre Lake Pawtuckaway is a magnet for visitors who can swim and paddle in the lake and hike and bike in the surrounding Pawtuckaway State Park. Campers can stay overnight at the seasonal Pawtuckaway Campground.

White Mountains

The towering peaks, hiking trails, and waterfalls of the White Mountains are a haven for outdoor adventurers. Less than two hours north of Milton, Franconia Notch State Park is home to the Flume, a natural gorge extending 800 feet at the base of Mount Liberty, and has two campgrounds.

Hanover

Home of the Ivy League Dartmouth College, Hanover also appeals to outdoor adventurers who will find many trails to choose from, including Moose Mountain and the Appalachian Trail, which runs down Main Street.

When to go

Spring and summer are the ideal times to visit to enjoy activities on the lakes and hiking on the trails—though summer visitors should plan ahead and be prepared for crowds. September and October are also appealing, with the landscape busting into rich hues of reds and oranges as the leaves turn. Winters are relatively crowd-free and offer winter sports activities.
