Higher Ground Camping is located on top of a mountainous ridge in southern Ohio overlooking 7 acres of woods in Vinton, OH. It is in a remote location but also near an access road. The sites are shaded by 30-40 ft trees in a serene and picturesque setting. There are many lakes nearby for fishing such as Lake Alma, Lake Rupert, Lake Snowden and Tycoon Lake. Old Man’s Cave in Hocking Hills is under an hour drive and other local attractions. Primitive sites with potable water and portable toilets provided. Excellent camping location for deer hunters, many public hunting grounds nearby.
