Perfectly located on 7 acres in a peaceful and quiet area just outside of a small town, you can enjoy watching the many hummingbirds that come to visit April thru September, try your luck at fishing in our small pond (catch & release only), take a nap in the hammock or just relax and watch the clouds float by!Back up your RV or Camper onto our level (gravel) RV site just in time to enjoy the beautiful sunsets and peace that life in the country brings. You will have your privacy, but we live on site (75 yards from the RV site) so we can handle any problems that might arise. A picnic table and charcoal BBQ are waiting for you at the RV site -- a firepit is also available on the property. Fresh eggs are available at the farm across the way ($2.50 a dozen). We are approx 10 miles from I-35, just 40 minutes to downtown Kansas City where you can enjoy the WWI museum, Crown Center, Union Station, the Jazz Museum, or watch the Chiefs, Royals or Sporting KC win a game. Only 20 minutes to Smithville Lake, Watkins Mill State Park, Jesse James Birthplace or Wallace State Park. You can enjoy great shopping at Zona Rosa just 35 minutes away or visit the Pony Express National Museum! A lovely Amish community is 45 minutes to the NW, but make sure to stop at the Missouri Quilt Museum on the way back or enjoy visiting with Vickie at the Quilting Farmstead just down the road. Or maybe you would like to try your luck at one of the Casino's 40 minutes South. The new Walnut Creek Winery is a quick 10 minutes away!

The hosts were wonderful! They went out of their way to be sure we had a great experience. We wanted a short trip out of the city for a weekend and this is the perfect place! Property was immaculate and very peaceful. We will be back for sure.

Camping at Hummingbird Lane

Donna & her husband have a beautiful site for you to use. They have 30 & 50 amp, along with sewer & water RV hookup. Very quiet area, love listening to the birds & owls. Plus occasionally you hear the neighbors rooster crowing. Very nice people, if were over that way heading home, we would stay again. Thanks for your hospitality & it was a blessing to meet you both!
