Our property is 85 very private acres with a treehouse, open fields, and open woods with many trails. The forest is very diverse including some old growth maples and birches. We also have a portable composting toilet outhouse and a hot outdoor shower. Feel free to explore all of the trails on foot or mountain bike. Rock walls built in the mid 1800s border the property. The Deerfield river is a few miles away where you can fish for trout. Historic Deerfield village and yankee candle are about 10 minutes away. We are about 20 minutes from umass Amherst, Smith college, and Amherst college.Choose between camping in one of the wooded nooks at the edge of our grassy field. A stone fire pit is located at all sites. We have plenty of firewood for campers so no need to bring any. Our composting toilet is available as well as our outdoor hot shower. Listen to owls and frogs serenade you to sleep! You might see a family of deer at dawn or dusk and you will definitely hear lots of birds. Guided tours are available where you can learn about the history of the area from the geologic formation to the forested hills and valleys we see today. In the warmer months you will learn about wild edible and medicinal mushrooms and native plants and trees. Take an adventure of your own and explore the quartz and sandstone outcrops! Take a ride through the woods on bike or hike and you’ can easily get to the Deerfield river where the Mahican-Mohawk trail which leads to Conway Station and shelburne falls all on a converted rail trail. This trail system will eventually connect to the Hoosac river valley in North Adams, MA. This is the border region between the bottom land of the pioneer valley and the Berkshire Mountains with easy access from rt 91.

The family was welcoming and accommodating. The spot is beautiful and serene. My campsite was clean, had a great fire pit and picnic table. The shower and toilet were rustic but clean.

Great spot under the tress to pull our little teardrop camper into. Clean and tidy toilet and water nearby. Willis was easy to contact and very responsive. Highly recommend.

Easy to book and good communication. This was a last minute booking when our planned campsite in Vermont got flooded. Friendly host. The property was nice. The campsite was clean and we had a picnic table, fire pit, easy access to the composting bathroom, and use of the cute outdoor shower. Our camping space was large which we really enjoyed.

Art and privacy under the trees
Tucked away paradise! When we arrived we were surprised how far back from the house the campsite was, we were able to position our tent so we could not see the house at all, the site was tucked away on the edge of the tree line, the fire pit was amazing and so was the little tree house that held our well stocked wood. Willis and his son were amazing to talk to and learn about town. We went to the town beach for a swim and to mount sugarloaf state reservation and it was beautiful! We needed up cooking our final nights dinner there, and were able to share with others. Disclaimer: if it rains or is wet when you are there, have a truck it gets wet, and deep quick. There is art and sculptures dancing around the campsites and the forest, Willis creates these and they are amazing! Thank you Willis for opening your place to us! We would definitely come back!!

Everything you need
The site was lovely, has everything we needed and more. Easy to get to to and Willis was a kind host who communicated very well. Hoping to stay again next year, and hopefully explore more, too.

A beautiful piece of property with an accommodating host. The compostable toilet and outdoor shower were nice perks. The only thing that bummed me out was my stay was too short! I'll definitely be back!
