Roaring Shoals Farm is a Black Angus cattle  and hay farm.  It is a family farm set in the beautiful hills of eastern Kentucky.  We have 600 acres of mountains that have amazing views, hiking trails, wildlife and tranquil creeks.  Our family would love to welcome you to our farm! Learn more about this land: Roaring Shoals is a family farm.  This campsite  is a double capacity with full hookup, located in a rural community halfway between Jackson and Salyersville on Highway 30 East. The site is close to the road; however there is much woodland to explore located on the property. We have small waterfall and a natural rock formation that can be hiked to.  There is great cellular service if your device uses Verizon towers, as there is a tower on the property.  This is the perfect place to come and relax if you are visiting the area.  It is approximately 12 miles from a small town with local restaurants and convenience stores.   Our farm raised USDA inspected black angus beef can be purchased if available; please check availability by calling a few days prior to your stay.  You may also purchase firewood that was harvested from our property which is a certified tree farm.  Our cattle are raised on another of our properties located a few miles up the road.  We would be happy to schedule a time to take you there to see where they are born and raised.  Roaring Shoals is a family farm.  This campsite  is a double capacity with full hookup, located in a rural community halfway between Jackson and Salyersville on Highway 30 East. Roaring Shoals Farm
Peaceful Mountain Hideaway
One of my favorite spots so far. What a hidden gem! There is only a one site so you have the place to yourself. 800 acres…I stayed almost a week and didn’t get to explore nearly what I wanted too! Amy and her husband are such sweethearts; I spent Christmas here and Amy brought me cookies🥹 (which were delicious!) I often travel alone and I felt very safe; they have cameras and lighting. The site is off of what looks like a main road but I haven’t seen many cars and still felt totally private. I was able to have my dog out unleashed which was great! She loved roaming the property. Which, is a cattle farm so while your here be sure to buy some beef! I’m going to take a bunch home! Amy sells maple syrup as well😊 Thank you guys for an awesome stay; Zulu and I are not ready to leave! We will definitely be back❤️

Great place to getaway!
Perfect getaway. Amy and Erik are great host. I would recommend to anyone who wants to get away from it all. Great place to enjoy the scenery and take a hike.

Roaring Shoals Farm
Great place to unwind and be away from everything. The full hookups were an added bonus to being secluded in the Kentucky mountains. Highly recommend!

Looking for a retreat? This is it!
Amy and Erik are hosts in the truest sense of the word! They've been so kind and welcoming to my family for our month-long stay on their farm. We have been the beneficiaries of their beautiful land; we've enjoyed hikes through the holler, watching the creek, and watching Erik running his tractor (my kids were glued to the windows during hay cutting!). Having full hookups was AWESOME and not having noisy neighbors was also awesome. Ten out of ten, would recommend a stay here. I know we'll be back! :)

Peaceful vibes & gracious hosts
Amy & Erik were wonderful hosts. This spot is nestled in a peaceful area of southeastern Kentucky. The campsite was perfect and we appreciated Amy’s help as we backed in. We’d towed our car along thinking we’d explore the area, but Roaring Shoals Farm has more than abundant natural beauty for hiking, bird watching, and creeking. We thoroughly enjoyed the waterfall hike, as well as hiking up the hill to view some spectacular scenery and rock formations. We will definitely be returning to Roaring Shoals, and highly recommend this Hipcamp location! Thank you Amy & Erik!

The hosts of this site were amazing! No issues with the hookups. All as described. Beautiful spot with even better hiking in the area. They were very accommodating with very polite kids. If you get the chance. Make sure you try some of their aged angus beef!
