Bollman Lake
Bollman Lake proved to be a convenient and refreshing escape. The lake, spanning 7 acres and situated conveniently off the highway, offered a quick getaway for relaxation and water activities like canoeing and kayaking. While the zipline over the water intrigued, I opted for fishing instead, reeling in a couple of sunfish with ease. The lakeside picnic table provided a tranquil spot for contemplation, even if the nearby highway hummed throughout the day. Freshly mowed sites and a captivating sunset added to the experience.

Bollman Lake
Nice little spot on the lake. No one else was at the site so we had it all to ourselves. Amazing sunset over the lake and we loved watching the fireflies. It is near the freeway so we were glad to have earplugs to drown out some of the noise as we went to sleep. Beautiful area!

Loved it! Our weekend with our pooches was just perfect! That saying…. I would only do it again knowing for sure no other campers were there as “camping spots” are really not abundant. I would say there are two max, and only if you feel comfortable being super close to others. Highway didn’t bother us at all, as we are used to street noise. Lake/ pond was beautiful, clean and abundant with fish life. Caught quite a lot of little fish and also a huge 5lb large mouth bass ( my personal best), saw a huge gold fish swimming there as well! Tiny fire allowed, dock is not for the rain of heart and neither are the stairs leading to it. I would 1000% do it again if I knew it would be just us again but I cannot imagine being there with others, because of the tight squeeze of campsites.

Lots of fun with the dogs
My boyfriend and I had a great time with our dogs. The lake was beautiful and seemed really clean. They had a paddle boat and a row boat on the property. There was a fun zip line. We did bring our own fire pit but there was a small fire pit there. Having a portapotty was really nice. There was toilet paper, hand sanitizer, and hand wipes provided. Only complaint would be the stairs were broken as you headed down to the pier.

Actual campsite was nice and the sunset over the lake was beautiful. Campsite is a bit hard to get to if you’re not direction savvy. Highway is very loud as you’re right next to it. It kept us at night and we weren’t able to sleep. The stairs to the lake are a bit sketchy and old and we didn’t try and get down them to get to the lake as we thought we’d fall in. Host answered our questions in a timely manner. Overall, the highway was just too loud for us.
