Welcome to our cozy corner of the countryside, nestled in a quaint neighborhood at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac. Surrounded by serene woods, our home offers a peaceful retreat where you can reconnect with nature and enjoy the simple pleasures of outdoor living. Gather around our burn pit for camping fire-roasted meals and to bask in the warmth of a crackling fire under the stars. Rest easy knowing you're in a safe environment, with ample space to spread out and relax. While we don't offer traditional bathroom facilities, we do provide a compost toilet for your convenience. Please respect our natural surroundings and refrain from using the outdoors as your personal restroom – our nature is not your outhouse! We share our home with two friendly dogs, so furry friends are welcome as long as they're sociable and up-to-date on their shots. Our property spans an acre with no fences, allowing you the freedom to roam and explore the tranquil surroundings. Feel free to wander around the back of the property, which offers approximately 1/3 of an acre of open space – perfect for overnight stays and short visits. Tokrasee (Tock-ruh-see)

5 sites · RVs, Tents44 acres · Cordele, GA
In 2005, while in Cordele for a family reunion, Mama noticed a sign that read, “40 acres For Sale.” She encouraged my then husband, Ken, and me that we should consider the purchase as we had been talking of buying land in Cordele. We called the owner at the time, Mr. Ben Thornton, to express our interest. Ken and I met Mr. Thornton on the land and negotiated the sale price. Three months later, we were the new owners of what used to be Cordele’s prominent sawmill.Tokrasee Farm, we call it, is a 44-acre land space located on 11th Street, right at Highway 41, just South of the Farmers Market in the City of Cordele, Georgia. The Farm is just down the street from where my grandparents, Warren and Ozzie Bell Kinchen, lived on 11th Street. To add to the nostalgia, 11th Street is also home to my Mom’s 1st place of business, the salon built by her father, Kinchen’s Beauty Box, which she owned at the early age of 15.Over time, the vision for the Farm has become more clear, a vision that compliments the natural landscape and features of old railroad tracks, wetlands, a nature trail, concrete slabs, and beautiful forests. It is perfect for not only for an outdoor community center and campground; Tokrasee Farm makes a great spot as the center of community, where people can unite in love and harmony. Our vision further includes an organic garden of Eden, not only in terms of the quality of the soil for vegetation we will grow, rather in terms of the spiritual elements of peace and serenity that one experiences while on these blessed grounds. The concrete slabs are just right for staging large concerts, weddings, tea parties, family reunions, and other outdoor events. The open areas of grass make for cozy picnics. The winding paths leading around the area of the land seemed to have been divinely purposed for a nature trail with eye-catching ponds that only enhance the beauty of the geographic layout of the Farm. And the rest, we leave for wild-life that help comprise our eco-system. In the coming months, we will have constructed several pavilions for our guests who may want coverings for seated eventsIn 2013, some eight (8) years after its purchase, it was clear that the Farm would be named after Mama. The vision was so akin to her nature as a loving, caring, sharing human being. Therefore, the proper name of the land is “The Ozzie Kinchen Ritchey Community Center Farm & Event Venue.” We refer to the venue as Tokrasee Farm, an abbreviated phonetic pronunciation of the actual acronym, TOKRCC, of which the Farm’s proper name.Today, Tokrasee Farm is mostly maintained by three primary farmers: my Dad, Mr. James Palmer, my brother, Mr. James Baker, and my godmother, Mrs. Lillian J. Hunt, as well as other Cordele locals, whose contributions are undeniable and much appreciated.Learn more about this land:Tokrasee Farm is a 44-acre land space located right at Highway 41, just South of the Farmers Market in the City of Cordele, Georgia. Visitors to the farm enjoy the natural landscape and  features of old railroad tracks, wetlands, a nature trail, concrete slabs, and beautiful forests. Sun Valley Horse & Hiking Camp!

Search for arrowheads, explore the dense hardwood bottomlands and swamps near the Echeconnee creek once home to Muskovee Indian tribes. Forage for many species of mushrooms! Sun Valley is located just 10 minutes southwest of Macon Georgia. We are WORKING EQUESTRIAN CENTER that welcomes visitors and campers! We are an Arabian Horse Discovery Farm which trains horses and riders to show in many different riding styles expressing the versatility of the Arabian horse! The back of our farm runs along the Echeconnee Creek which was once inhabited by Native Americans. We have found many arrow and spearheads here and we are just 20 minutes from the Ocmulgee Indian Mounds where they host a festival each September. BRING YOUR HORSES TO RIDE THE TRAILS! The Echeconnee swamp is home to Blue Herons, Snowy Egrets and Bald Eagles among many other species of Wildlife. Our 86 acres of lush shady Bridle paths wind along the creek with tributaries to splash through on hot days. Enjoy the flora and fauna of Georgia's rich bottom lands and huge virgin hardwoods. Mushroom hunters PARADISE with golden Chanterelles, Lions Mane and Oyster mushrooms are abundant! Feel free to harvest whatever the land provides as a perk for your stay! For the ghost hunters~ many boarders and neighbors have seen a floating lady in a long white dress.. we call her the "white witch". She has always felt friendly. Often when traversing the trails at night we have found areas with severe temperature drops. We are far enough away from town to have spectacular viewing of stars and planets for the astronomy buffs! Experience the life on an Arabian show horse facility for a few days! We have 20 am electrical hook up, hot and cold water in the horses wash racks. a public restroom with sink/toilet. We have a charcoal grill, and a fire pit. Feel free to gather wood from anywhere on the property for the fire pit. Bring charcoal lighter to get the fire going unless you are a primitive survivalist. WE ALSO HAVE A PLAYGROUND FOR SMALL CHILDREN! We do NOT have a public shower but the Love's station is 3 miles away and they have several super nice showers available at their truck stop! The barn lounge has a full size fridge and microwave, ceiling fan for relaxing and watching the lessons and horse training! Sign up for a few lessons while you are here! (when an instructor has an opening, must book in advance) Bring your own horses and ride the trails! **warning** there are a few weeks mid summer in the South when the deer flies are swarming and the trails are not good for riding horses! Meet our beautiful Friesian stallion! INCREDIBLE photo ops! We have huge open spaces for turning large RV's and horse trailers with living quarters around and many huge shade trees to park under. WE DO NOT HAVE 30amp electrical hook ups but have had many large RV's turn off their hot water heaters and use propane on their fridges and the 20 amp circuit was plenty to power the rest of their RV. Fiber optic wifi coming March 8th 2024 for better wifi service!
