Make your way down to the river for tubing, canoeing, wading or just picnicking on the bank overlooking the pristine golden sandy bottom where the water is almost always just knee high. Need to pick up snacks? Sandy Bottom River Retreat

My friend and I stayed at the campsite on the water. We brought our dogs with us and we had a ball! Very isolated for the dogs to play. We could not be more happy with our selection.

Sandy Bottom River Retreat

It was an awesome little place and the water was super close. Its super private. Only bad thing was that across the river is some sort of place that allows atvs and gun shots literally 24/7 and was very active all weekend. Didn't bother us though we had a blast.

Sandy Bottom River Retreat

Great private camp space

We had such a great time camping here, brought our 3 kids ( 10, 7 and 1 ) and our dog. Brought a generator for any power source needed. Nice quiet space and felt very safe. 2 minutes down the road is the canoe outpost, we took the 6.5 mile trip down the river along the manatee state park. We rode our bikes out to the state park entrance trails. Will definitely be coming back.

This was a beautiful spot, rite on the river. It was really nice and we had the place to ourselves! Kira was super nice and very accommodating! I can't wait to go back.

Sandy Bottom River Retreat

This place is awesome!

We loved tent camping at sandy bottom!! It was a girls night to remember, especially cause we had a first timer with us 😂 the property was so clean and maintained, we got to choose our own site and had it all to ourselves. Kira was very helpful with any information we needed and always available. I can’t wait to come back with my daughter!! This place is definitely a gem 💚
