Out there, yet close
We loved how we were out in farm country, yet so close to many activities! Only minutes from the Everglades national park gate! And with US Rt 1 nearby, we also visited Pinecrest Gardens in South Miami, Key Biscayne, and Key Largo. The famous fruit stand, Robert Is Here, was just down the road, and you have got to try one of their milkshakes!! The property was well-maintained, and we loved hearing the doves, peacocks, and roosters in the mornings. We felt like our camper was safe while we were out and about. Our hosts were very accommodating to our schedule, also, which we really appreciated!

Thanks so much Sandra and Joe for allowing my husband and I to experience your little tropical paradise as we travel on our very first extended 2 1/2 week southern adventure making wonderful memories! Watching a little bird eating from a fallen coconut while enjoying our morning coffee was one of those memories!

Rooster site
My husband and I enjoyed our time here being able to use this lovely safe spot for exploring the Florida Everglades area, Big Cypress National Park and the Keys. We extended our stay for another night but the Rooster site was not available so we stayed that night at the Peacock site… both had water and electric hookups, but our favorite site was Rooster being that it was a little farther away from hosts personal space so we felt most comfortable there coming in late from our adventures and not wanting to be a disturbance to anyone. The Rooster site also has a very lovely fire pit area with chairs and picnic table. We would definitely recommend this spot!

Tropical ferns
Hosts were very kind and communicative. Directions from them made it easy to find. Site had picnic table, trash can with new liner at site and hammock. Kids loved the hammock. There was a nice tidying mini-broom left at the picnic table to brush any leaves off as the site is wooded. For awareness, there are 2 ponds at the site that are relatively close to the campsites if you have young children. We also found some poison ivy at our site as well. We enjoyed our stay and site was beautiful, just wanted others to be aware. Thank you for the nice place to spend the night!
