It is unique because the surrounding area does not have much tree coverage. This is due to the ground underneath, which is a vein of grey marl. This is why the area is called the Allapattah (an Indian word for Alligator) Flats. We are hoping that our county stays the way it is so people will know what Old Florida really looks like. Minutes from I-95, but surrounded by the Allapattah Flats Wildlife Management Preserve. Located on Martin Hwy, which was recently designated as a Florida Scenic Hwy. Fifteen minutes to Stuart and thirty minutes to West Palm Beach, a world away from the hustle and bustle. We realize that people also love Florida for Disney and tropical paradises but if that is what you want than this may not be your kind of place.

If you’re looking for places to visit for the day or services nearby, you can head to Okeechobee, which is only 20 min away. Lake Placid is only 40 min, Vero Beach is only 1 hr, and Melbourne is 1 hr 30 min. All of the listed locations offer great opportunities for fishing, hunting, swimming, and beach hangouts. Each of the sites allows for watching the mini livestock, sitting around a communal campfire, hanging out at the watering hole, and having coffee or cocktails on the Mary Celeste! Our favorite things about our property are privacy, amenities, and all of the roaming mini livestock throughout the property! Your hosts do not live onsite however, will be available to you during your visit. We are friendly and as non-invasive as we can be. We do love meeting our guests and are available for any questions that come up. Our primary purpose when developing this property was to create a safe space for children with special needs and their families. We are a no judgment zone and adhere to Hipcamp's inclusion policy. We have a Pavillion with a fire pit that is welcomed to be used. Our dock provides a look out on our pond. Please feed the fish some food if you'd like. Also, take time to fish in our pond and catch some tilapia or blue gill. The kids have a blast fishing as the fish are easy to catch. THE SPACE: The site you'll be staying at is close to the owners house. There are 2 parking spots on asphalt that are available for the campers vehicles or park directly at your site. The ground will be grass that the camper will park on. Please note: we have 2 gates with gate codes that shut automatically. Please be sure each gate closes behind you! We have free roaming cattle and other farm animals outside the camping area. We are always open to recommendations on how we can make your stay even better! The weekends can be busy, especially in season with our more popular events. If live music and other campers here are not a fit for you, we recommend visiting us on a weekday or off-season. But please know the camp sites are far from music stage, pavilion, and festival area, and the music is usually ONLY during the afternoons and over by 4pm, so the evenings are quiet. Many of our customers come back several times a year for our weekend entertainment. After requests from our campers over the years, we do now offer upgraded power/water sites for a nightly fee. Since we are a working farm property, there may be farm activity early some mornings, usually weekdays. Very peaceful setting aside from occasional bark from our dogs but the main house is about 500 ft away. This is a slice of paradise in the midst of some of the most diverse eco systems in Florida. The Property sits between the Indian River Lagoon and the Savanna’s State Park, mornings and sunsets will host an aerial show or local birds as they leave/return to their rookeries. We have a several gardens which we keep growing and changing. A vast array of Bromeliads gardens, Tropical Plant gardens, Our newest addition is a expansive Butterfly Garden as well as our Palm/Hibiscus garden which encircles the fire pit. While we do not have steps for direct River access, our Jensen Beach Causeway is a mere 5 min ride to Launch Ramps. We have 2 Kayaks available for a small rental fee of $10.00 per kayak/Day so you can explore our area by land and water. This is a little slice of Old Florida Paradise.

Early birds, this city is for you. Sandwiched between Vero Beach and West Palm Beach, Fort Pierce may not have "beach" in its name, but this picturesque city sits right on Florida’s Treasure Coast and offers RVers access to nature, community, and, yes, the Atlantic Ocean. Dubbed the "Sunrise City," Fort Pierce comes with colorful skies—best seen from a waterfront RV campsite overlooking the ocean. Once the sun is up, head to Fort Pierce Inlet State Park to enjoy long walks on the beach and try your hand—and fins—at snorkeling or scuba diving. RVers should likewise consider RV resorts close to town, where history buffs can explore the National Navy UDT-SEAL Museum. Once you’ve had your fill of culture, there’s nothing quite like a sunset dinner from a campsite with a grill and picnic table. You may spot some local birds, and, eventually, stars in the clear Fort Pierce skies.
