Great hipcamp.
Steve has all the accommodations and very easy going and polite. He also took extra time to make sure we got setup and everything was good to go. Very excepting of friendly dogs. Great access to his location. Right off the highway a little noise but you can't find a better place in town. Thanks Steve.

Wonderful host!!!
Steve was the sweetest honey. We were a tad too large for the property but he didn’t make us look for a different accommodation. He helped us get the camper in an out. He allowed us to us his nice facilities and even topped our tires off with air. 5/5⭐️

We enjoyed our stay- there were several areas to choose from on Steve’s land. With our rig being 40’ long, it was a bit challenging to get back to the more secluded spot. Steve was a great host who helped us get set up with an extension cord and met us on-site. He was there daily working on the land and a garden. The location couldn’t have been better for us. We walked a mile to the Starbucks just down the road in the mornings and enjoyed the wonderful little cheesecake place across the street. We would stay again!

Depending on what you're looking for. This place was great and felt like a secluded spot. Camp site had a nice open area with lots of trees surrounding it. Just a short drive and you are close to Everything in Pensacola. Steve was there to greet us and showed us exactly where to go and was very helpful and hospitable. Be advised it is in close proximity to the interstate and traffic is audible. We will definitely be staying here again in the future if the need arises and space is available.

Farm back acres
Steve seems like a nice and hospitable host, but a little unprepared. Unfortunately, our experience with his farm acres weren't that of everyone else that have stayed there. We read all the reviews and were excited about our stay here.

We booked in advance for a one night layover while traveling through Pensacola. Our first issue happened with the directions given to us after booking: you’re told to “turn right at the end of the road”, but Steve’s spot is actually the second to last right, if you keep going there’s another house and what looks like a long dirt driveway or road to the left. Instead, look for the wooden fence with a private property sign on it, and turn in there. If you miss the turn in an RV it might be a little difficult to back up/turn around since it turns to dirt, and is tight. Aside from that, there wasn’t much instructions for us once we arrived as far as finding our spot, but we assumed we could figure it out based off the photos from the listing/other reviews. We actually ran into Steve when we pulled in. He wasn’t prepared for us, even though we booked in advance. He seemed a little frazzled to find a spot for us as well, and ended up sticking us directly beside an RV right inside the fence line next to the street, he knocked on their door, and hooked up an extension cable from their RV, and pulled it over for us. Once we parked, we started assessing the spot; we were two feet from someone’s camper, there was no shade, a half open bag of marshmallows on a fold out table next to us — which made us feel like it was a communal fire pit directly in front of us, and no clear instructions on anything like where to find water, etc.

We do travel with two dogs, though extremely well behaved and friendly, we tend to avoid busy/tight campground as we feel those are overstimulating for them and not as relaxing/enjoyable for all of us. So we were pretty bummed with our placement. Steve came back by a few times, introducing us to our neighbors directly beside us, and we were trying to get the dogs settled after a long drive. So it was a little difficult for us to find our bearings.

After looking around, it seemed like the “good spot” everyone reviews was already occupied by another RV and since the listing says there’s only two spots, and there were already at least two people there. We just assumed Steve had overbooked unintentionally. On his last trip over he said the people next to us were helping him out, and they could tell us more, they came over one more time to tell us the shower is located in the house, which I believe Steve lives in, and on the first floor. So fair warning, if you want to shower — you will be in someone’s home. Not a problem, but something that should be noted.

It isn't a bath house, it's someone's home. We felt uncomfortable with the situation and decided to last ditch try to find other accommodations elsewhere so we could enjoy our stay — we ended up getting a spot at Fort Pickens (about 45 mins away). And even though it was a family campground, it was a cheaper spot, and way more secluded than what was offered to us there.

I am sure Steve’s place has the potential to be a great space as other’s have enjoyed it before us, but just wasn’t for us or our needs. I did chat with Steve after we left, and he said they have more than just the spot he put us available for travelers. We wish we would have known before eating the cost of the site, but ultimately I think we would have left anyways, we’re pretty keep to ourselves which is why we aim for listings that lean into secluded/privacy. But keep that in mind if you aren’t happy with the site assigned to you — he does have more than two spots available contrary to the listing and seems to be willing to help make travelers feel welcomed!
