Shiloh was the name of an early Florida town that was once located just down the road from our property. It was populated by hardy, adventurous folks who made a way for themselves and their families by clearing a spot along the river, building a home and forging a life in a new location. But Shiloh is now lost, literally removed from the maps. It no longer exists. When NASA needed a perimeter zone for the newly emerging space program in the 1950s, the federal government purchased large swaths of land between Oak Hill and Titusville, FL. Residents were bought out and forced to move. Houses were relocated or demolished. Shiloh disappeared into history while the space age pushed forward into the future. However... some foundations still can be found in the woods not far away, if you know where to look. There are even cemeteries that remain, whispering the names of individuals and families. As a tribute to those early adventurers, we have named our place Camp Shiloh. We honor the past, we respect the wild Florida that surrounds us, and we celebrate the future as we watch rocket launches from our porch. You are welcome to stay on the property while you explore the local communities of New Smyrna and Titusville, relax at beautiful Canaveral National Seashore, attend races in Daytona, visit amusement parks in Orlando... or whatever! It’s up to you. We are a peaceful, safe location from which you can stage your Florida adventure. Come on by. We look forward to hosting you! Nearest I-95 exit/3 miles away. Watch rocket launches, visit nearby beaches, attend NASCAR races, see local communities of New Smyrna Beach or Titusville, relax at Canaveral National Seashore, birdwatch at Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge, fish Mosquito Lagoon, or visit the amusement parks of Orlando, we are a safe and quiet location to stage your adventures from! Whew! That’s a lot for the tiny price of $27/night! We have a nice level, grassy campsite, complete with a fire ring, picnic table, and firewood. Nothing fancy, but we are clean, secure, private and gated. You can come and go as you please, and day-trip all over beautiful Central Florida!(Not a commercial campground.) Camp Shiloh

The site was nice, level and easy access. We got to see a rocket launch, which was a big plus! The host were very nice and helpful. The only negative and I know they can’t do anything about it is the water situation.

Private and Quiet Campsite

Convenient location and outstanding hosts. Troy and Valerie were great hosts. Immediate response to any inquiry while also allowing you all the privacy you desire. Quiet and peaceful camp site and very secure with its location on a long and private driveway off the highway. We highly recommend this site for any traveler seeking a private and quiet campsite near all of the attractions this area offers.

Charming piece of paradise

Camp Shiloh was exactly the peaceful retreat we were looking for. The adorable camping area was clearly marked and well laid out with everything we needed. I’d stay there again in a heartbeat.

Our stay at Camp Shilo was great. I tried to communicate with Troy through your website and it wouldn't let me. It kept diverting me to another site to sell me stuff. I will propably not use your site again. Too annoying. Too bad for your campsite owners. Bob K.

Well thought out campsite. I was running late and showed up at 11pm at night and had no problem finding my site. It was illuminated and ready to just back into. I was so relieved, I was exhausted and just needed to feed my dog change into my pajamas and pass out. The location is perfect for exploring, wish I had a few days to hang out and see more of it.

Camp Shiloh

Great Campsite for a quick getaway

We live in Central Florida and love camping so we are always on the look out for great spots to go out for a night. Camp Shiloh did not disappoint! The campsite was clean, had nice shade, a great fire pit, some camp fence lighting and seating with a picnic table. The privy was a short walk and very clean. The owner greeted us with Honey and some information on the property and answered any questions we had. We timed our trip perfectly as we had a rocket launch that night. Will be on our saved places to camp list and we look forward to another visit.
