Not bad, but close to a loud road
Not a bad little spot, but it was less secluded and tranquil than we were hoping for. You're close to the road and it's pretty noisy.
The site is big, and there's a (slightly uneven) picnic table and a very nice outhouse (with some games stashed in there, and a Thermacell to keep the bugs away - nice little touch!), and a big parking pad. And there a nice little park and small beach by the lake about 500m up the road.
We liked the look of the site online because you get it all to yourself, but it's right next to a road which is pretty loud and can get busy at times. So it's not exactly private (or doesn't feel it) and it not that quiet (although the times between the vehicles is very nice). Would have been perfect if it was up a lane or something.
It's well cleared out, but rocks and tree roots means there aren't a lot of spaces for tents, so just be aware if there 2 or 3 tents that want to be spread out a bit. We had one tent and a gazebo/shelter, so we were fine.
So good option if you want a site to yourself, just be aware of the location.
Oh, and the host is great - really good communication.

Lovely site, you get it all to yourself - great for my reactive dog. We drove to the lake for a swim which was also not busy at all! Thoroughly enjoyed. Thanks!

May long weekend
The site was easy to find and the stream running through it was very pleasant to listen to while falling asleep. Being May it was still a bit wet but we made it work.

Great private camping site!
Melissa's private campsite was amazing! We have a family of five and we had more room than we knew what to do with. What a great change of pace to camp somewhere in full privacy, you could set tents wherever you please and have your own outhouse, picnic table and fire pit plus do whatever you wanted in peace. All that and a small river runs through it which gives that incredible ambience as a bonus. The other feature is that the site is well protected from rain with its old trees covering most of the area. You won't avoid the rain but it does help. Melissa is an excellent host and we will definitely return again. Nice and close to Birkenhead Lake and only 30 minutes from Joffre Lakes.

Spent very little time, onky parked and spent the night there. Otherwise, it was hidden well among the trees for privacy, with a nice little stream running besides. Was woken up early by the construction next door, but that’s just a temporary concern. Thank you

Perfect Pemberton camp spot
This spots perfect for an easy to access but quiet weekend getaway. Close to Gates lake, it’s great for swimming and relaxing. This property has a great raked area for multiple tents, with a fire pit, a brand new outhouse with games and cards stocked up and a brand new picnic table. It’s always a favourite of mine.
