Tenting/Done Amazing one of a kind private Island in the heart of Youbou, BC, minutes away from amenities Including a pub, grocery and liquor store. The island is completely private, yet it is only 250 meters from the mainland. There are a couple of kayaks you can use and the waters are teaming with fish! It truly is a piece of paradise! And needs to be shared…. We are building two more domes and a 24 foot yurt this spring /summer… But for now we have one 16 foot dome with a wood stove. As well as two platforms set up for tenting. It is probably one of the most beautiful places you will see on Lake Cowichan. There is a double bed and three fold out foam bed cushions in the dome. We ask that you bring your own bedding and towels. We provide a bbq and Blackstone cooking grill and an outhouse (we are working making improvements and should be ready by June 1st). I guarantee you will make life long memories, it is a very special place. We are not set up to provide transportation to and from the Island yet, but we are working on a solution for this summer. We do have a large dock for your boat, as well as there are plenty of places to simply put your boat on shore.These are winter/ shoulder season rates until March 15th. Welcome to one of the most unique glamping properties on Southern Vancouver Island! Please note that we now have three amazing domes! We are offering a unique one of a kind experience! The first dome is 24 feet (king size bed) and sleeping mats the second is 20 feet (king size bed) and sleeping mats the third is a 13 foot suspended tree dome (first of its kind!!) suspended in the air overlooking the water with a queen-size bed. With two washrooms, both with outdoor hot showers and outdoor cooking setup it is truly unique! Your private island has a dock with room for 4 boats, as well as two kayaks, and 2 fishing pontoons you are welcome to use! This glamping property is probably the most amazing experience you will find on Southern Vancouver Island. You will need your own boat for transportation. We are only 500 meters away from the closest boat ramp, but there are a few to choose from on the lake. The lake is deep with history, fishing and wildlife surround the island, so be sure to bring your fishing rod and camera! You can call or text us at 250-812-9399. Dude, its camping on an Island

Really amazaing experience. I mean, you're camping in a geo dome on an island! The lake was beautiful, and Kevin had a really good set up there, with an outdoor kitchen, outhouse, storage, kayaks, botcheball and more games. Tonnes of stuff. Had a great time. The only trouble will be transport to and from the Island, but I believe the owner usually helps with that. We booked it last minute and had to figure it out ourselves (which we didn't mind because it added to the adventure), but if you have a kayak, boat or canoe I'd definitely bring it.

Being the first guests on the island it was amazing Pretty much what we could have expected it to be Peaceful nights and adventurous days Quiet and the hosts went out there way to make sure we had everything and even came out to assist the transportation to the island. Thanks again !
