Our story begins with a little old lady, our grandma, who believed with all her heart that we were worth it. She passed a few years ago, and what better way to honor her belief in us than to create Ethel's Hideout. We came from a small ranching family, which has brought us closer than we ever imagined. Hard work and dedication were imprinted on us from a young age. On this land we have built an RV pull-through, camp sites, and horse stalls. One day we hope to have some small cabins to share with you all. Ethel's is your home away from home.  We border agriculture and sate and public lands which provides an authentic western experience. Though tucked away to give the illusion of seclusion, we are located only 7 miles from downtown Kanab Utah. Kanab features many fun and exciting events throughout the year. Located right in the heart of several national parks, Zions, Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Lake Powell and many more fun things to tour. Hook ups include power and water. Our most unique feature is horse stalls on site. Bring your horses with you and reserve stalls for them as well. Our convenient location offers direct access to ride on public lands. Traveling with horses? We have just the spot with (8) 12′ x 14′ covered stall. Contact us to book stalls for your horses to stay over night with you.

Beautiful space in the middle of nowhere, but close to stuff at the same time. Remote location with electricity and water. Great stay

Site 2 - Ethel's Hideout! Authentic Kanab RV
Highly recommend this camp. Gorgeous views, well kept and clean, easy check in process and very responsive and helpful host. Nice base camp for Bryce and close to town for many dining options and provisions. The story of Ethel and what the family is doing to honor her life by sharing this land is a bonus. Don’t think twice about booking here. Hope to be back.

Beautiful and private
Beautiful and private campground. Our kids really enjoyed exploring the antique farm equipment and the horse stalls that were nearby. We would definitely stay again.

Tent camping, Horse property,
This was the perfect spot! Quite location, well maintained, hiking trails on the property. I highly recommend this property if you are looking for a safe place to stay on your way to AZ or UT. I personally dont own horses, but this is a wonderful spot for those traveling with Horsese!

Where Arizona and Utah meet
Truly a beautiful space, it’s right next to the city and you can hear the road traffic - however you’re up on a hill facing the other direction - the views are STUNNING which was a higher priority for me! I watched the sunset and sunrise each day I was here and was never disappointed. The cows like to moo - it’s how they communicate and I found it cute :) it is a ranch after all! Marci was incredibly kind and always responsive. There is a light on the horse stalls that stays on all night- I could turn my back to it in the evenings and it didn’t impact the night skies at all. There is some ambient lighting however you could still see the milky way and be in awe of the night sky like I was each evening!! I always appreciate a toilet near by so that was a plus too!! Lots of public land to explore, cities near by for supplies or any needs you may have. Tons of trails - Bunting Trail about 15 minutes away takes you up a canyon with some profound views. Endless possibilities! Stay here if you’re in the area - you won’t regret it.

We had a great experience at Ethel’s Hideout! Views were fabulous! Spaces were well laid out but we had the place to ourselves since it was the off season. Great value for water and electric hookup.
